Infinity Ward has made all other Collector's Edition gifts look like shit this morning with the unveiling of the Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition's pack-in night vision goggles. Not a Master Chief helmet that's too small to fit on your head, nor a giant plastic Lancer. Night vision goggles.

The "fully functioning" headgear is joined in the Prestige Edition box by an art book, steel case, sculpted head model for storing your Sam Fisher toy and a code to download the original Call of Duty on Xbox Live Arcade and PSN.

We're going to go mental in the garden with these. It's out in November. Watch the video below.

This could be the game to wean me off killone 2.

Night vision goggles! I would have killed for those as a kid

I wonder how much and what sort of quantity are they going to be producing that prestige edition in?

This game better be amazing, otherwise i will throw every digital clock out of my window and burn all my Uno cards.

Pre-ordered it from GAME, cannae wait until it comes it. If anything's gonna jeopardise my degree, it'll be this.

Does anyone else want to punch the guy explaining all that in the face?

cant see the point of paying that much just for some night vision goggles or a metal case, i'll just get the normal one

the RRP is set at £55 rather than the usual 44.99 or 39.99

its gonna happen to a lot of games due to the weakness of the pound, which is stupid because the pound is weak because no one has any money prices should be pushed down so that the economy can recover

That does it then, thats the end of console-gaming for me.

Theres only one machine i buy FPS games for and thats a PC.....not just for the controls but price too it seems

Because one game is set £10 higher then normal? Over-reaction much

A £10 increase is nothing then? :wenger:
I never pay full price anyway, games were already overpriced as it is. PC games will now be half the price as console games, so its hardly overreacting by abandoning the console platforms.

Because PC games are far easier to get illegally, and they need to keep costs down so people buy them. Also, PCs are more expensive to build for users, and the fact that the licensing free for them is probably much smaller than 360/PS3

PC games have always been cheaper.

Still a big difference in price though....If you got the pc to play the game then its the version to go for really. I've allways been rubbish at first person shooters with a controller anyways

I only get some games on the PS3 if theyre exclusive to it or if i prefer the controller with the ability to play with friends.

Incidentally, is there going to anything new with this or is it it gona be a bit like a 100% extended COD 4?

I can't play for shit using a mouse and keyboard.

What i don't understand is how something that was created with the sole purpose to be used for gaming, can be worse than something that was created for word processing and for control of a GUI.
