Don't think this will be as easy as people think. Soton won at Stamford Bridge recently, so have it in them to put up a fight

This is, for me, a great fixture to have after the horror show of last week. If there’s one team I dislike nearly as much as Liv it is Southampton. Smashing these dicks will cheer me up no end.

Anything but 3 points will be shite.

Nice attacking line up though so we should be fine.

Must admit im a bit nervous about Bruno as a cm in a two

Can always sub Fred on though.
Bruno played one of his best games for us as a CM against Spurs. Fred was the pressing CAM that day. Today it'll be WW as a pressing CAM I think.

Yeah I like the line up; if Bruno and Case can get the balance right and keep it tidy, it looks great. Garnacho to bring some pace second half and the job looks good.

I think you get more control and better decision making with Sancho as a 10 while reducing Bruno's turnovers as he's less intent on the killer ball. I don't think it's something we'll see often, but we should be dominating the game today so I think it makes sense to blitz them.
Maybe I didn't make this clear in previous posts, but I'm really not worried about the part when we have the ball.

Thank God this is at OT and not at St.Marys. Southampton are a bogey team for us at times especially away from home. Should be beating them but as last week showed you never know what could happen :nervous:

Big game for both Fernandes and sancho for their future at the clubs, eth seems to be placing bruno in different roles of late as if he doesn’t see bruno as our number 10 long term and sancho could potentially have a real challenge on his hands to even be back up player with rashford and garnacho being the left side choices and Antony is the first choice right winger and pellestri looks a better out and out winger as the back up and have also seen Fernandes starting on the right wing this season as well

Bruno and Case have to be frugal. Bruno has to play with discipline. He did well in a similar role v Betis but will need help from Wout. We could end up with big gaps between MF and the forwards.

Good start. De Gea actually lumped it to a teammate and Weghorst won a header.
