Manchester United vs. Liverpool

Hopefully

DDG

Rafael
Evans
Rio
Evra

Young
Carrick
Cleverley
Kagawa

Hernandez
RVP

A fecking clean sheet would go a long way today. Hopefully Saurez will collide with the post and knock both his beaver teeth out in the first five minutes.

The great thing for us is that with RVP in the side you know we'll have a great chance of scoring at any stage.

I reckon Rooney will be at least on the bench.

Liverpool league record with Webb as referee.

After the summer of 2009: W3, D2, L9.

Before the summer of 2009: W9, D5, L2.

Can't help but wanting big Tony V in there. My god we are spoiled with great options what a position to be in! Thank you Fergie!

I still think Rooney will make a surprise start, has Sir Alex said anything about him these past few days?

That's probably because Webb is assigned to the big games like this one and despite all their game raising cuntishness they are actually still shite against the biggest sides.

I'm sort of torn, he can own any left-back on his day but with the form he's in... I can't endure another afternoon of him just passing it back to Cleverley or Rafael every time.

Nah, that's because they've been shite after 2008/09, but they won't admit it.

It's conspiracy.

we would need a list of these fixtures tbh.

Webb is a relatively young ref so before 2009 he might have been give easier games. After 2009 he was called up when big boys cross their swords.

Like has been said on this forum. It's the most retarded myth in football really.

I honestly don't understand why Liverpool hate Webb.

Who will play on fullbacks position for Liverpool, wisdom or robinson?

huge day today. with us away at tottenham next week and city home to fulham they have a big chance to gain a couple of points that day. we have the same chance today with city at arsenal, have to make it count. would take leaving the next two games with the same gap we went into them, any messing around and you could be realistically looking at a 2 point gap.

regards today, united are a far better team than liverpool. never has there been such a huge gap in quality between the teams. if rvp fires, we will. hope for abig game from valencia.

It's a really weird myth. I don't even know where it comes from unless it's still that stupid Tottenham game, with the penalty that Carrick won. In real time that looked like a stonewall 100% pen and only made the score 1-2, it's not like it completely destroyed Spurs's hopes.

Losing is not an option today:nono:

What I would love is a 97th minute winner by Evra

Iv been confident all week but iv woke up today with a sickly feeling. This is going to be a tough game I don't know why but I can see the cnuts getting a point.

I'd prefer a 45th minute 'winner' (third goal to nil) from RVP, leading to a 5-0 rout. Who needs drama when you can have humiliating victory?

I wouldn't say a no to a 5-0 win but there's something about last ditch winners. Not only do you win but Liverpool will be completely shattered.

I would take anything today mind, even a couple of dodgy pens courtesy of ashley Young.

Please no. We'll never hear the end of it. The Anfield win didn't feel really good, even if the Scousers were vomiting blood.

I'd really like a nice, easy, comfortable victory against them for once. Call me picky.

At least we are agreed on a win;)

The two games against Liverpool are the only games that make me feel physically sick before hand. Even though we've got a decent record against them I never enjoy even watching these games. Hoping for a great start and an early goal to settle the nerves.

Definitely one of them Games that decides the mood for the week, you win it's greet, you lose you just want the week to pass so we can play another game

They lost those games because they were shit and were outplayed not because of Webb

I have this horrible feeling that Liverpool are due a victory at Old Trafford.

Expect something like:

De Gea
Rafael, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra
Valencia, Cleverley, Carrick, Young
Hernandez, Van Persie

Expect Kagawa on the bench really and we'll go with two wingers here, which is the sensible thing to do because it's clear we can punish Liverpool out in the wide areas and that's probably where we can have our most joy, exploiting the likes of Johnson, Wisdom and Downing. Defence is give and take, no problem with seeing Vidic or Smalling in there somewhere (Expect Vidic rested here though), got a good choice out of those four. Hopefully a place for Nani on the bench. I'd expect the extra options we've got from the bench could be the key factor in this game actually.

In a derby game of this stature form goes out the window;of course they are due a win like we were due one at their place. But it wasn't that long ago they won 4-1 so their record isn't that poor in that respect.

We are a better team right now.If we don't play the occasion, which with SAF in charge I can't see, we'll win

Nah they've had their share over the years. You could argue they are due a thrashing at Old Trafford as they haven't had one in a while now, and that 1-4 still stands out as a result we haven't properly made up for yet. Basically, we owe them a mauling, so let's give them their due.
