Manchester United vs. Liverpool

People still criticising Welbeck I see

He's been brilliant so far, pretty much all our one touch moves in and around the box have had him at the centre of it. Unbelievable.

Aaargh, let's kill them off. Carrick and Clev have bossed this match so far. We need another goal.

Why is Downing playing on the right and Johnson on the left? Is it some sort of in-house weaker foot crossing competition?

He's been brilliant, but has wasted a number of golden opportunities.

Welbeck would have a hat trick if he knew how to finish. His workrate has been sensational.

He would have done very well to score any of the chances he had, none have exactly been clear-cut, if anything Van Persie missed the better chances in that half.

This is almost as beautiful to watch as the 49ers v Packers last night. We'll blow this thing open in the second half.

With Welbeck, It's not just the finishing. 3 seperate occasions he received the ball in a good area, and he completely slowed down, not really sure what to do with it. Lost it twice and took a horrible shot the other time.

Yep. If that doesn't change he has no future with us.

'Listen to those racist mancs booing Suarez! They don't have any of our legendary decency and dignity. I hope SAF dies in a tumble dryer fire, the smelly Scottish bastard.'

Brilliant is a bit much imo. If he'd been brilliant United would be at least 3 up. He's been indecisive in the final third.

He's been very good but he's also been very wasteful. He can't keep missing such good chances.

He really hasn't been 'brilliant', get a grip. Bar his finishing, he has been decent. Add his finishing and he has been a little bit disappointing.

Valencia on. Needs to have a good half.

Sturridge on for cnuts.

If he knew how to finish he'd be a brilliant striker. As it is, he's an awful finisher and since he's a striker, regardless of his build up play, people will always say stuff like "1 goal all season".

Valencia coming on - hope he has improved over the week from how he has been this season so far, poor

Valencia on.
I only hope he plays well, and doesn't dally with the ball like he does. Young, for all his misplaced passes, found a few good ones and created a chance..

Welbeck has been very good. Yes his finishing has been "not very good" but he hasn't been playing in that role for ages, so its understandable.

He's playing a lot better than in past games such as against Wigan, when he was actually poor.

He's been brilliant, but has wasted a number of golden opportunities.

He's had about two shots? One was fantastically well blocked by Agger I think, the other, admittedly, he blazed over.

Its become a 'thing' on here to just automatically blast Welbeck at every HT or FT opportunity if he hasn't scored. Forget what he has done, and what he's brought to the team, just concentrate on that.

If Welbeck had done that RVP flick that got blocked on the line, he'd be getting murdered right now for not scoring. As it is, no one's even mentioned it.
