Manchester United vs. Liverpool

Welbeck would have a hat trick if he knew how to finish. His workrate has been sensational.

Completely dominated that half and barely got out of second gear. Should have got that second though, Liverpool look somewhat dangerous when Suarez drops deep and Rio/Vidic has to go with him.

Very good stuff in general even if Liverpool keep the ball too much for my liking.Very unlucky not to be 2-0 up, what a goal we score  , from the build-up, to the cross and to the finish.
Special mention to Michael Carrick and Tom Cleverley who have been excellent in the first half

Absolutely marvelous first half, especialy compared to the game at Anfield.
Carrick has been an absolute beast, RvP, Welbeck, Kagawa and Young at times all playing well, Welbeck has been tearing it up, if only he had the finishing down as well.
But that should come with time, I can't wait till he gets regularly into the side and starts banging them in, such a wonderful all around player apart from his finishing.

Great first half, we deserved a second.

Really hope we don't drop the standard and let them back into it!

Liverpool are so insipid away from Anfield.

Wasteful. I really hope we're not going to regret it as I can see them upping their game in the second half. We should be up by at least 3 goals. I'm particularly displeased with Welbeck's decision making in the final third. It's just not good enough.

The best part about this has been we've tried to construct chances rather that just hammer crosses in from out wide at every opportunity. We look far more accomplished and in control as a result.

We might regret not getting one or two more.

Also, if I ever hear any more bullshit about Webb favouring us I think I'll go mental.

Impressive performance. Young and Kagawa haven't been fantastic but other than that everyone is playing well I think.

Very good half from us. Should have wrapped this up by now.

Wtf was Webb thinking stopping play there? Atrocious call. Either Stop It when pool are playing or not at All.

Ridiculously good football so far. We have been dominating the match and the scoreline of 1-0 doesn't do us justice.

Alot of good chances wasted by Welbeck, Cleverley etc. The funny thing about Danny is he gets in such good positions but consistently makes the wrong decisions or slows down the play rather than just go on and take the shot or run through. I really hope he gets one today though because he has been so hardworking and his runs have been fantastic.

I think Young is still struggling a bit from his injury. If you had to nitpick, he has been our worst player so far. Not really keeping the ball too well for the beginning of the match and also needs to test johnson far more often. Not enough crosses into the box either. I fully appreciate how hard Young has worked but I think Nani would be the superior option to him anyday.

Still, we could have at least had another 2 goals scored. I hope we get that second goal to kill off this match because the dippers are a jammy bunch and 1-0 is not a secure enough scoreline.

Welbeck is unbelievably poor as soon as he's in the box or with a chance to score. Other than that though he's fantastic, always puts so much pressure on defenders and keepers and keeps running.

Gorgeous stuff in the first half, but our finishing must improve. 1-0 doesn't tell the story ofmourmdominance in the first half.

I wonder if Brendan still believes his side is as good as any in the league.

Wisdom pushed him straight into Reina, it could of been a penalty.

Welbeck is a mystery but at the same time he's so young that the finishing side of his game has more than enough time to improve.Energy, build-up, everything is spot on with him. It's just that in front of the goal he's impotent for whatever reason

Carrick has been phenomenal today. Just controlling the match from the centre of the park. They can't even get near him. One touch play between him, Kagawa and Cleverley is brilliant to watch.

Welbeck's been pretty good. His finishing has been lacking but that'll come. Carrick has been a star.

Can you imagine if the Kagawa push happened at the other end with Rafael and Suarez? There'd be an uproar.

Cue Redknapp 'Liverpool have been the better team'

"Suarez has been immense Jeff, seriously immense. He's getting those rickashays all over the pitch. And he means it Jeff, he means to do that. We're watching a more polished version of Lionel Messi here. United just cannot deal with him."

So far so good, we really should have scored at least 1 more, we started to lose a little control towards the end but the break should hopefully fix that. If we keep doing what we are then I think we could get a great result.
