No big news but hey they`re our heroes :)

Hours after devouring Schalke at Old Trafford, Manchester United players, led by Edwin van der Sar, Rio Ferdinand and Rafael, tucked into a team-bonding Italian lunch.

United’s involvement in a dramatic finish to the Barclays Premier League title race — they face Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday in a match that could decide the championship — meant they cancelled the traditional visit to Chester races.

But manager Sir Alex Ferguson softened the blow by arranging a lunch at an Italian restaurant, the Puccini in Swinton.

The United squad, who on Wednesday beat the German side 6-1 on aggregate to earn a place in the Champions League final against Barcelona on May 28, went by coach to the trendy eaterie after
training.

Earlier, Wayne Rooney wrote on Twitter about how much he was looking forward to the get-together.

If the likes of Van der Sar and Ferdinand didn’t look full of enthusiasm, at least they weren’t as
disappointed as Michael Owen at missing out on the races at Chester.

A photograph of the United striker poring over the Racing Post at training was tweeted by Ferdinand.

About time the club treated them to something... they slave away for our enjoyment every week, and what do they get for it?

And here we have the rare sighting of a smiling Valencia, quiet or it may be startled.

Phelan & his moobs all on his Johnny at the back

Vida's shirt is shocking.

Nani looks like he's going to the rodeo and left his cowboy hat on the bus.

Bebe actually looks like he's trying to shove his way past Vidic.

Has the man got a death wish?

Anyone else think it looks like Phelan is about to start break dancing ?

I wouldn't go that far, but it does look like he's doing a 'haters gonna hate' walk. If only we had a picture from sideways-on!

In fairness t Bebe eating was not always part of his life, he's just eager to get inside and grab a delicious slice.

Bebe is a big lad

He's young enough to have an outside chance at still growing.

TBF anyone would try to sneak a peek at Vidic's Magic Eye shirt.

Not particularly surprising as he actually won several amateur competitions in the 60s and is - along with Anthony 'Tiger Paw' Childress - widely credited with inventing the loop-ankle slide, which later went on to become a key component in modern crip-walk styles.

Looks like Vidic just blew past Bebe and sent his arms flying. Struggling to hold onto his phone, which he never seems to put down

Hernandez and Park are the best dressed and some our lads have got a really funny choice when it comes to fashion:devil::lol:

Smalling looks like a fecking giant being in the foreground and in the picture with all the short ones.
