Manchester United 0:1 Atletico Madrid (Sat 30th July, 12:45 UK time)

So who is playing in tomorrow's game and who is unavailable?

AWB, Shaw, Varane, Bailly, Tuanzebe, Savage, Iqbal, Hannibal, Diallo, Chong, Ronaldo and I guess some of todays subs? Anyone I'm missing?

I am thinking the admins and mods need to do some bans. It’s just toxic as feck

Can't believe the warnings I've got. I've got a warning for "being too negative," but apparently, you can just write a post that says a player is "fkn ugly" and get away with it and that's apparently better. Mind you, I was trying to be constructive but yeah negative, and if that's against the rules, then fair enough, but I think the rules need updating.

It's a pre-season friendly. If things look the same after the transfer window has closed, then I'll be concerned too, but it's over a month left, so have patience. We have looked good in pre-season, and even if we pretty much have the same squad (although arguably better), I think several players have developed fine. Sancho, Rashford, Maguire, Dalot looks a lot better than last season.

It’s obvious the squad needs more additions, but we knew that before the lineup was released. We’re light in attack and midfield, not just in quality but numbers as well. They’ve got plenty of time to get more players in, let’s hope they’re still looking at targets other than De Jong.

Because we're only interested in Antony. That's the reality. ETH wants Antony and he's not realistic. Same situation with FDJ. We're not looking at alternatives.
Ah let’s sack him. Clearly isn’t good enough manager.

Noooo not Sancho. He was one of the brightest points ever since ETH joined.

Maybe because the alternatives arent worth it and they wont give a lot of impact compared to what we have.

Shame about Sancho. He's been a real bright spot in pre-season

A lot of this would be solved by simply stopping newbies being able to post in the mains. It's unfair on some but good quality posters have always been noticed and promoted fairly quickly. It's what always separated this forum from the pack
That's a worthless opinion, the majority of moaning being done on the mains is by established posters, are you going to suggest banning them all too.

Will never change unless you get rid of the Glazer family. We just won’t spend the money required.

Wtf, first the post you quoted, now yours, do you lads live in alternate dimension? We spent tons of money, what are you even on about?!

Taking Sancho out of that XI and I must say it’s not particularly watchable to me. Of course, I will watch it, but as a football fan first, little to excite me there. Mainly hardworking and hard running individuals. Hopefully Martial can do a drag back or something. Boring and functional team otherwise.

Elanga is the sort of player who Liverpool sells for about 15-20m on the back of a decent debut season and before it becames evident that the player is nothing more than average.

Elanga is not the biggest problem though, but it does highlight the lack of depth we have. Hopefully EtH was the major signing we needed and he can make something out of those (rightfully) scapegoats.

Our squad is awful. Worse than last year so far. Not sure what alternate dimension you live in

Hope Martinez and Eriksen get a good amount of time, though didn't sound like that. Eriksen you could toss in for Elanga as hopefully he isn't starting next week, but anyway.

I say something, and you respond with some generic shit that is not even connected to what I have said. I guess some of you are really beyond any help, enjoy the ignorance and keep the moaning flag flying high.

Ah yes I'm ignorant for saying we have a bad squad.

Sorry to upset you

gosh this squad still seems pretty uninspiring (name wise). hopefully Ten Hag can get some of these guys to raise their level
Put Sancho/Shaw/Martinez/Eriksen and it's pretty good IMO. Malacia I have hope for but it'll take time for him, Lindelof/Varane are good CB depth/competition.... But the attacking depth is pathetic and that's our biggest problem.

Tbh I’m struggling with the idea that other players are more in need of 90 minutes than Eriksen/Martinez. They’ve all played more football than the two new arrivals over the summer. And they’re all used to playing with each other. Surely they should both be top of the list to play a full 90 this weekend?

To see Lindelof, Elanga and McT in the starting line up can’t be labeled as anything than disappointing.

Let me say it so you can understand better, ok? I responded to post saying we don't spend money, which isn't true, we overpayed for every player we bought, it was said our budget is 120 million but we will spend much more than that in the end. So that post is false. And you respond with some random shit "but but but our squad is shit", bloody hell, are you a child?

There are no other young talented wingers in the world? Interesting
You forget to mention the transfer fees (plus United tax) in relation to the quality we get. If we need to spend 20-30m pounds for a talent in the quality of Elanga then thats a waste of money. 30-40m pounds for talents 10% better than Elanga is also a waste of money. Add to that is ETH preference, whether the player will fit his system or not, etc. I dont know about you but this careful approach in transfers is better to me. How much money have we spent buying players the managers didnt want and failed to fulfill expectations? too many. We often sell them for less than what they costed us as well.

Yeah but you referenced my original post in your response to that other guy. And my original post was commenting on backing ETH which we haven't because you have to factor in what was required.

How much we spent on other managers is irrelevant as it's all been wasted.

Your posts do seem quite childish to be fair.
