Television Lost: Season 5

I think this is an awesome theory;

------------------------------

http://forum.lostpedia.com/jacob-pushed-fire-t37620.html

When Jacob is pushed in the fire.. ..it appears that the show wants us to believe that he is clearly dead- Fair enough but on watching the repeat, the fade/cut to the next scene where Jack opens his eyes appears to be different from that of a normal scene.

Although both scenes take place in different time periods could this be a hint that both are linked? E.g Jacobs spirit jumps into Jacks body after both die at exactly the same time- Giving us in Season 6 Locke v Jack (taking over from Jacob v Mr X)

Thoughts?

First post by the way so hello to all on Lostpedia and please be gentle!! (Apologies if discussed before)

Very plausable.

that is interesting though, I personaly think it is Jacks eye from the pilot and C&L have said before that Season 6 will be more like the first. Not too sure what to make of this tbh

The eye is a Lost trademark. I suppose it's better than just having words in a preview.

it should have been more like season 2.

imagine the starting scene of season 6 was like the starting scene of season 2...i bet desmond will start off season 6.

How is it plausible? Jacob died about 30 years after Jack got hit in the head.

i think its clear that jacob is dead but he will "move" into another body like the guy in locke did.

all fingers are pointing at charlie...why else would he give the guitar case to hurley

How are all fingers pointing at Charlie? there is much more chance of the Jack theory being correct.

Besides, I doubt either because they wouldnt hire a well established actor for one episode.

i think he will be back but in his own form

how is that possible...last i heard jack is not dead!!

another option is sayid as was shot.

Read the theory eh? Basicaly the theory is that the tool box that hit jack actualy killed him and jacob took his body hence why the two scenes were together.

This would also have the old Locke v Jack as seen in S1 which could be what the C&L meant when they said S6 will be more like S1. And will also sort of explain why Mat Fox is the only one of the cast who knows how Lost will end

But again I think Jacob will still be the jacob we saw in the finale as they wont just dump the new actor after one ep, though I hope the Jack theory is correct

It's a possibility, they could write anything, but it's highly unlikely in my view.

I think the same my friend, I doubt Jacob will be any of the losties purely because they wouldnt just hire a well established actor for one episode.

But if it were to be a lostie this is my favourite theory so far

Anyone else think its strange most of Vidared's "opinions" turn out to be true?

i read a spoiler months ago which stated one would die out of sawyer, daniel and ben. thank feck it was daniel.

If you read spoilers months in advance then please be careful when you post in this thread.

I'm guessing he looks up spoilers then passes them off as his own opinions to either look smart or spoil for everyone else without being told off for using spoilers.

What Solius said, notice how he always states "his" theories as fact and never says "in my opinion" or anything along those lines.

im the person who types the scripts for the writers and passes it down to the losties to rehearse.

i rarely go looking for spoilers...i just think of the bigger picture and make assumptions.

remember i said the h bomb would be detonated and it did....and there were no spoilers for it. you can look it up!

So, who's eye is it ? Jack me thinks.

Vincent's.

It means nothing.

Does anyone think Jack's motivation for detonating the bomb was a bit shit? I can't even remember what it was but if I were the writers I'd have made him want to do it so people like Boone and Charlie weren't dead. Surely that's worth more than Jack & Kate's relationship.

I think thats what it was about. Jack wanted to do it to ensure that the plane didn't crash meaning that he would never meet Kate or any of the others for that matter. Therefore ensuring that they all survived.

I'm surprised Kate went along with it though considering she'd be in jail if it did work. I guess they simply gave up caring about the past and wanted to wipe away what had become for many of them a terrible experience on and off the island. That and also she had Aaron on her mind.

The eye is pretty insignificant though as it could mean literally anything. Its not like the coffin teaser from last season. What would be interesting though is if the bomb didn't work but somehow the characters near the explosion wake up on the island (after the plane crash) with their past memmories.

Might mean nothing but I'm skeptical of the fact that the only footage that they've put in the official trailer for the final season is meaningless.

If you look at the eye carefully you can see the reflection of the forest and the eyelashes match perfectly with Jack's from the first scene of the show. Which obviously might mean that they're hinting that he's back in the jungle somehow - either post 815 crash or in present times. NOT Dead and NOT still outside the Swan where we saw him last. That's pretty meaningful information. Rambling over.

They haven't even started filming so it's not new footage, and that's not the same clip from S1
