Lost: Season 5 **Warning: May Include Spoilers**

Filming starts next week I think. Season 5 starts in "early 2009" so Jan or Feb.

Episode 1 is to be called "Because you left" and that is all we know so far. Oh and another Lost ARG has been set up.

It's become great since they settled on a shorter season and an end point for the show, the writers know exactly how much time they have to to tell the story, there's no filler anymore.

Yeah, though Season 1 and 2 were great Season 3 had that filler effect to it and was no where near as good but thankfully Season 4 has picked it back up.

Yeah season three was an obvious filler season. I mean they brought in two new charcters only for one episode, create a backstory around them and then kill them off all within an hour. Season 4 asked more questions and i can't wait for season 5.

"The Lost producers are looking for two ships, both need to be seaworthy. The main one they wanted was a big black ominous looking ship, but the ship company didn't have anything that was even remotely similar to what they described. However, they booked another ship and it's going to be a chase ship which goes after the big black one.

The chase ship is the oldest ship in the marina and it looks like it's from the 1500's. Do you know why they would want boats that looked to be several hundred years old?

They want to film out in the Pacific off the California coast in early September."

"In future episodes : Numerous mysteries will be resolved in season 5. We'll learn about what going on with Claire, Rousseau and Richard Alpert's pasts will be revealed. Jin and Locke will still be around this season, according to Lost's producers: "Death is a very relative term on this show"

Most of the episodes will deal about the Oceanic 6 going back on the island and the way Jack will convince them to do so.

So, Kate and Sawyer will consequently be reunited once again.. We will also learn in which circumstances Libby met Hurley in a Mental Institute before the crash.

Damon's part is what he said about the use of both Flashbacks and Flashforwards, and that it'll be difficult to know what's going on about when and where the action takes place in the first episode. "

Lost show runners Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse are here to take your fan questions here and, apparently, give out relevant prizes, and it'll all be liveblogged here!

Q's and A's are paraphrased. This will be updated frequently, so check back often. Vids of key moments coming soon.

Q: When the hatch imploded and the sky turned purple? Did the Island move then?
A: No. But something happened. Prize: Oceanic water bottle.

Q: What is the fate of Jin and Locke?
A: Jin will still be on the show in some form. You've not seen the last of either of those characters. Prize: Jin panda bear.

Q: Best episode and best season, in your opinion?
Carlton: "The Constant" is my favorite episode, and season one.
Damon: "Exodus" and the raft launch before the show disintegrated into utter despair. I also like season four. Prize: Apollo bar and Apollo bar T-shirt.

Q: What's up with the reflection in the season four promos where the city was in the reflection in the water?
A: That was all about the Oceanic Six getting off the Island. Prize: Heroes DVD

Q: Will there be a Rousseau flashback?
A: We will see Rousseau's story, to use the word flashback might be disingenious. Damon: We're steering away from the flashes. Prize: I Am Lost luggage tags.

Q: What's up with the actors strike?
A: We're supposed to start in three weeks at least until further notice changes that plan. Prize: Photo of Nikki & Paolo.

Q: Any special guests this year?
A: No actors. Sorry. Prize: Actor-signed DVD box set.

Q: What happened to Vincent?
A: What about what happened the Island and Sawyer and Juliet? Vincent's OK and will appear in season five. Safe to say: Vincent's gonna make it to the end. Prize: Little polar bear.

Q: Are Jack and Kate your show's one true pariring?
A: Carlton: Personally I like those two, professionally I'm going to take the Fifth. Prize: Jack action figure.

Ah, we've been had again. MATTHEW FOX is so totally here. Photos coming soon!

Q: Will Kate ever see Sawyer again?
DL: Not if Jack has anything to say about it. CC: Yes. Kate will see Sawyer again. Prize: Signed poster.

Q: What happened to non-speaking "beachies" who were ferried over to the blowed-up boat from the season four finale?
A: They dead. Faraday is probably gonna be OK. Prize: Authentic Faraday tie.

Damon Q to Matthew Fox: Do you know the meat-socks/redshirts, i.e. those who died on the boat?
MF: Yep. They're always there and very professional.

Q: Is there a limit to how far the flashes can go back and forth in time?
A: We're going to tell stories in a new and exciting way. This year, when season five starts, you're not going to know when and where you are. CC: There will be storytelling both on and off the Island and in different periods of time. Guy who makes wooshing sound will remain employed. Prize: Hanso Foundation hat.

Q: Just between me and you, how does this show end?
A: It ends well, we hope.
Q: Can I have some Jin?
DL: The alcohol or the character?
Prize: Dharma beer

Q: How old is Richard Alpert and does he have six toes?
A: Not tellin'. We will see Richard Alpert barefoot in the very near future and that's pun intended: the very near future. Prize: "I asked a Richard Alpert question and all I got was this lousy T-shirt" T-shirt

Damon Q to Matthew Fox: How old do you think Richard Alpert is?
MF: 125 years old. DL: Wrong.

Q: Regarding Locke's pseudonym of Jeremy Bentham, and one of his big things was the panopticon, are the people on the Island people being watched and by who?
A: Good question. [Interrupted by new Martin Candle video drama. That video? Coming soon right here!]

That's all for now kiddos. Check back soon for photos and video from the panel and in the not-too-distant future, my exclusive backstage interview with Mr. Matthew Fox himself! In the meantime, post your comments and Q's on the panel below, and we'll work on dragging more answers out of the powers that be in the very near future.

Was never a Lost fan until the start of the year, then watched the 1st episode round a mates house, got hooked and plughed through series 1, 2 and 3 in literally 2 months. Caught up on series 4 now and can't wait for the new series.

24>>>>>>All others.

That is all.

Like feck it is.

First couple of seasons were great. But after that it gets repetitive and boring. You've got the same arab/russian bad guys, same bombs, same drama, same shit.

Lost is where it is at.

Lost and Heroes are the best

Can't wait for Series 5 - Desmond is the man.

Heroes is back soon too - Claire :D

***Spoilers from EW's Ausiello***

Question: All these years with your damn puzzles! I have a little puzzle for you to figure out, Mr. Ausiello: S**rf*s bl*w! Good luck with that one. -- Kyle

Ausiello: Smurfs blow! Wow, that was F-U-N. Now I'll return the favor with another one of my phenomenally successful multiple choice quizzes, this time pertaining to the fate of a certain MIA island on Lost. We will come to learn that one of the following is true in Lost's fifth season premiere.

A. The Island moved forward in time.

B. The Island moved backward in time.

C. The Island did not move in time, but it did move in space -- to another location on the planet.

D. The Island did not move in time or space -- it's still there, but Dharma tech renders it invisible to the naked eye.

Question: Thanks for the interview with Emilie de Ravin, but do you know for sure that Claire will be back for Lost's sixth and final season? I'm suspicious. -- Devon

Ausiello: I was too, but then I asked executive producer Carlton Cuse and he put my mind at ease. "Claire is a wonderful part of the show and the audience can rest assured that they will see [her] again on Lost," Cuse told me Sunday night at the Governors Ball. "It's just all part of Damon and my grand plan for how the story is going to be best told. And we don't want someone to be on the show and not be serviced well. The story that we're telling this year is going in some other directions, but we'll circle back around to include Emilie we think in a very exciting way."

---------------

option D is definitely not correct because the helicopter was practically near the island and would have crashed on the island even if it was invisible.

i think the island moved back in time

Lost is where it is at.

That obviously shows you've never watched past Season 2.

1st January is the Scheduled date for it being Aired... Can't wait!

Yeah I'll believe it when I see it on other sites

One thing - Jack from the future, as a drunk, is VERY annoying.
