Kingdom Hearts 3 Set for PS3?

The biggest news at Square-Enix's private party event, dubbed DKΣ3713, was the Final Fantasy XIII playable demo that will be included with next year's Blu-Ray release of "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete." Some believed the third Kingdom Hearts entry would be announced, but that never happened...perhaps they've decided to wait until the Tokyo Game Show.

According to the latest Official PlayStation Magazine issue that just hits retailers this week, Square-Enix will most certainly present Kingdom Hearts III for the PlayStation 3 at TGS 2008. There's no way to misinterpret the statement, even though it is listed under the "Rumors" section: "Kingdom Hearts III is currently in development as a PS3 exclusive and will be announced at TGS." Many sources have been saying we should expect KHIII for the PS3 at some point, but not a one has been able to provide us with anything concrete in the way of evidence. And we can't exactly turn to Square-Enix; they're about as forthcoming with news as Quantic Dream was for Heavy Rain before the Leipzig unveiling. So chances are, until October rolls around, we'll never be able to confirm if this rumor is true.

But it certainly should get the attention of PS3 owners, at the very least. We haven't had many RPGs - if any - and Kingdom Hearts III would be an absolutely gigantic announcement. Also bear in mind that there wasn't any talk about a 360 version...this bad boy could be yet another top-notch PS3 exclusive.

I've never actually played a Kingdom Hearts game, but I hear they're very good. Plus I love my RPG's so if this turns out to be true it will be a must buy.

Kingdom Hearts is one of the best games ever. I suggest you play it. Got both of the games and became instantly hooked.

No, not at all. The PS3 has 1 really good RPG to it's name and that is Oblivion, I'd welcome any good RPG at the moment.

I don't care if it comes to every other console out there, so long as the PS3 has it.

See the post above. I'm disappointed with the lack of RPG's at the minute for the PS3, so I'd take any RPG with a good reputation at the minute.

RPG's are by far my favourite genre of game.

I've just been reading up on KH and KH3 being a PS3 exclusive sounds very plausible. Nomura is director and he refuses to work directly with the 360.

This (If true) will be PS3 exclusive, just like FF Versus XIII:D
 
Anyone play the series ?

Simply epic, and will surpass the final fantasy series in the long run i reckon. Real-time fighting RPG at its best and the story-line goes really well with the gameplay as well.

I would advise people to try it. You'll enjoy it.
 
Surpass Final Fantasy? I don't think so myself, but that doesn't stop it being a fun series through some good old Disney. I've bought 365/2 days and it's not bad, filling the gaps between 1 and 2 and partly running alongside Chain of Memories. I might need to get a PS3 for this one, hopefully they'll have come down in price by then!
