Is Fairytale of New York the best Christmas song ever written?

Among many others, I have to put it foreward as it has been going crazy this summer this summer in Ca

Seriously though if Bon Jovi's co leader/ back man Sambrova can get Locklear my feck Bon Jovi could do well for himself I guess

Lennon - Happy Christmas (War Is Over)
Pretenders - 2000 miles
Greg Lake - I believe In father Christmas
Jona Lewie - Stop the Cavalry
Slade - Merry Christmas Everyone
Pogues & Kirsty McColl - Fairytale Of New York

I'm surprised that Baz hasn't nominated one from his hero, Chris DeBurg - A Spaceman Came Travelling. maybe he is being kind to me so that I don't have to shove red hot pokers into my ears to make it stop.

And what about Little Drummer Boy by Bowie and Bing Crosby which must be one of the most bizarre duets of all time?

both songs mentioned are quite bizarre, i would say.
however nothing as bizarre as ronan keating singing fairy tale in new york!!!!!!!

Our christmas songs overall are better than what the Americans produce-
Fairytale of New York (considering I'm in New York) is excellent and it will be the song I'll be listening to on the way to the airport heading home next weekend though as someone already pointed out it depends on the mood you are in. Merry Christmas Everybody has to be the one song if you could only have one, though I also have always been partial towards Step Into Christmas by Elton John.

I have always like this as well
