I see the 'ABU' Media are back in full voice...

worrying thing is, some of our fans sound like Craig Burley. His delusion notwithstanding, some of the fans should take a hard look in the mirror and see if they want to be as miserable as the king of miserable <something that rhymes with shunts>.

He's a freaking idiot. He's loud so ESPN likes him.

 what a cnut Burley is! I haven't seen anyone more annoyed than him because of us finishing 3rd and Ole getting even a bit of credit. Was there anything between him and Ole during their playing times cause he really seems to hate Ole?

I absolutely loved Burley losing this sh*t. Same for Nicol after he actually said, “Anyone but Man United” as his wish for who should get CL. They’re bitter and one of these days, as long as we continue improving, Ole’s success will hopefully give them an aneurysm.

What’s irritating really is when some of our supposed “fans” start spouting the same rubbish. There are actually threads devoted to this trash on the Caf!

I saw that. ESPN FC should be seen for what it is - entertainment. They offer zero insight and usually focus on sounding impressive and having a laugh. And they do have anti United bias which comes across as a little pathetic especially due to Nickel and Burley, with the latter seemingly being allowed to dominate the show at will.
Burley does have some decent opinions but he's just there to be funny and angry. Occasionally he'll make a good point but it's more the character that he's there for. The journalists they have on are the reasonable ones along with the hosts. Frank Leboeuf too makes some okay points and they recently have had a Scandinavian on who sounds sensible. The rest? Entertainment.

I mean, how hard is to have some decent opinions? Any random football fan can present some acceptable opinions. Like I said, the show is mainly about 'characters' and entertainment, really. The journalists are decent although Julian is very basic in his views for me (comes across more like a Pundit) which leaves just Marcotti.

All in all, I just see it as entertainment rather than quality insight that I'd expect to be free of bias etc I do watch it but more because of YouTube visibility. I don't know about other YouTube discussion forums other than club specific ones.

I did not know where to put this, but this compiled list of goals VAR would have changed is mainly United goals. Surely that's not a coincidence. Funny thing is the most important one is the Drogba offside which cost us the Title.

It didn't. Had VAR been in effect, Macheda's goal a couple of minutes later would have been ruled out as well (even if we go along with the nonsensical idea that if Drogba's goal had been chalked off the rest of the game would have been the same and Macheda would have definitely scored).

funny I was at the game where Mhiki scored the Scorpion I was right in line with him when he scored . I was absolutely blown away by the goal , afterwards I got into a taxi. The driver was a City fan and said to me "what did you think of the Mhiki goal " " Unbelievable " I said " pity it was offside " I replied " Nah I was right in line with it he was onside" .

I watched the game when I got back to the house and could not believe it was the same goal .

Why should the Nani one have been disallowed? Cant play the video

There was a penalty shout after he went down in the box as there was a slight tug on his shirt by the defender.

He handled the ball on the deck and for some reason Gomes assumed he'd been given a free-kick so placed the ball in the box and took a few steps back.

Nani realised the ref hadn't given a free, so he got up ran over to the ball, looked at the ref, who waved him on and kicked it into the goal.

What made it worse for Spurs was that after the ball went in, the linesman raised his flag to indicate it should have been a free-kick to spurs but the ref ignored him.

Everywhere i seem to look right now there is a media outlet taking a pop at United either from this ridiculous only united get penalties angle or how we are just lucky to be joint top of the table !?

What baffles me is when it comes to us, any rival fan or media outlet either ignore stats, they create blatant lies articles, all logic just goes out the window because they are so desperate to have a go at us.

What it does show is we truly are worrying the football world enough for them to see us potentially lift a title either this year or next

Look at those two twats below discussing our "controversial" penalty or Goal with these two polar opposite posts to a player scoring a penalty, one portrays Bruno as basically the bad guy getting a penalty again where english rose captain kane is celebrated ! Ridiculous.

I can't think of any other club to get this treatment.

Same in the BBC hys. Every United report is crammed with scousers spouting all kinds of nonsense which is left unchecked.
But say one thing against Liverpool and your comment is removed by the admin.

**** em, shows they’re worried about us. Most of the media are scousers or part of the London club.

MOTD last night said that the Pogba pen was a clear pen. Argument over.

I love it when they start getting all ABU. Shows they are taking us seriously again. Ole is the opposite to SAF in that he won't instill a siege mentality but focus on a great team spirit and work ethic.

 20 of the penalties were not pens. Alright, Richard, whatever you say.

The fact we have more penalties awarded in this VAR world, has only gone to disprove the former narrative that we were given too many pens and never concede them.

We were actually due more. And if anything, some of the decisions against us have been harsh.

I don’t know how you can make an argument now we have VAR. If anything it shows we didn’t get the penalties we should have previously.

It's bizarre how they just can't accept that maybe we're where we are on merit.

That's standard British media fayre though. Heroic Brit v Johnny Foreigner.

Burley and Nicol are stealing a living. Nicol is barley audible these days he sounds more like Rab C Nesbitt on a bender.

When you've had 36 penalties given in a season and a half.? Correct me if stat is wrong...

Then you see soft Pogba penalty and Maguire able to rugby tackle with impunity in game v Chelsea.

Not surprising Oppo fans look at Utd and go, WTF, ABU please

Yes Drogba was offside in that game, Cole was also offside in the 3 1 win at OT in 2005. Pretty sure Chicarito scored about 10 offside goals v Chelsea, or maybe I just feel like it was that many.

If we're being honest we've had some very soft pens, but so has other teams, as for Keys n Gray 2 has beens

Why does it matter how many are given?

I get where you're coming from, and maybe there's some truth to it. But did you see Mings elbow on Pogba? It should at least have been a penalty, maybe even a red.

Not claiming two wrongs make one right, but did you read anything about that? Any outcry? Not following media that much, but I didn't. So this creates the narrative that United got a dodgy penalty helping them seal the match, and people not watching our matches will believe it further strengthening the narrative that United gets the rub of the green ignoring all situations that would contradict that notion.

The defender, whether intentional or otherwise, clearly trips Pogba inside the box. How is that a soft penalty in any sense of the word?

Great point about Mings.

Fergie was a master at pointing this sort of thing out.

Get on it, Ole!

The difference in those goal images is a joke  I’d forgotten how annoying the media can be when we look threatening.

2005 and Chicarito! Sounds like you've had your little Chelsea heart broken and are grasping at straws mate. Let it go.

Back to the Villa game, if you count up all the decisions against us and the Mings elbow on Pogba which should have been a penalty, the ref dis everything he could to assist Villa. The eventual Pogba penalty was clear, he was grabbing him and clipped his leg at the same time.

We have to get in the attack position to get the pens, so what if we have 36 or 136.
Soft pen

We're only an acceptable and tolerable team if we play like Leeds;go all out and win heavily or lose in the same way.

Takes me back to when I was a kid. Utd were everyone's second favourite team, as long as we weren't winning things that is. When SAF changed the mentality to a an entertaining and winning one...the hate started

I just hope our own fans don't get sucked in by the negative media coverage we inevitably get when we become more of a threat.

If we win at Burnley and then Anfield, all hell might just be let loose. Some people might actually do a coronary.
