Has anyone else had a movie completely ruined by someone/something?

Thanks to Scrubs, I'll never be able to see the movie "Sixth Sense" as they revealed the ending or at least the main twist in it.

Shame, as it seemed like an intresting movie.

What fecking rock did you hide under to avoid the ending of Sixth Sense for a decade? I was spoiled after a month.

Yeah, everyone knows that the kid sees that Rosebud was Luke Skywalker's father who killed Dumbledore.

None of my mates back then were really that film interested, well they did watch movies but only crap low budget comedy ones. So there was zero chance to get a good movie spoiled by them.

Usual Suspects was ruined for me by one of those 118 adverts that come on during shows before and after ad breaks.

When that came out one of my mates (at the time 18, lot older than me) was walking out of a video shop with it, think it had the fornt cover visable or something, gets let out the door by a bloke, walks abouit 15 ft away the guy hes just walked in front of leans out the shop and shouts "bruce wilis is a ghost!" at him!

I had Usual Suspects recorded on my V+ box for a few weeks, and finally set aside the Friday to watch it on a lazy night in and on Thursday I watched the latest episode of House...

Where Greg House, in passing, says "like the end of the Usual Suspects where you find out Kevin Spacey is Keyser Soze".

I was both annoyed and amazed. Just the sheer odds of a character making that statement the day before I finally got round to seeing the film. Amazing!

I've not had films ruined before i've seen them. I try my best to avoid all sort of spoilers, apart from VidaRed's in the Lost threads, but Scream has been ripped to shreds now by Scary Movie. I actually laugh more through Scream than i do the comedy version of it!

I've only watched the first couple of season of Prisonbreak. Was checking the top 100 TV shows of all time list on a movie forum and the blurb they had for Prison Break spoiled something big time for me.

Who the heck gives away major major spoilers in a tribute blurb? Feck !!

No he fecking didn't, that is bullshit

He pretty much does.

She's all wanting to leave and he's like.

"yo Adrian, you know, some times, you know, you gotta take the pussy"

And he virtually rugby tackles her to the floor.

I ruin films for myself and others because I blurt out whatever the twist as soon as I figure it out.

It's a sickness and why I actively seek to watch films alone.

The Rocky thing is ok though cos he gets famous then she realises she loves him and lets the rape thing go.

That would have pissed me right off!! That's one of my favourite films, luckily I saw it when it was quite new so hadn't had it spoiled.

Usual suspects for me too. My pissed up flat mate stumbling in after a night out, cnut. I still resent the fecker to this day.

Am I the only person that often ruins twists for myself ?

I know I shouldn't but I just can't help it.

Especially when a movie advertises the fact that it has a twist. It's like their goading me into spoiling it for myself. And even if I don't discover it before then, all the time I'm watching the film I'm actively calculating every possible plot twist in my head of which one will inevitably be correct.

That notion of expecting a twist annoys me, like you say its almost as bad as knowing what the twist is, because you're looking for it.

That's what made me lose interest in 24 after a few seasons, and having just watched a few more its starting to happen again.

Now that you put it like that... feck I wish I never saw this thread

Sylvester Stallone tries the same thing in Demolition Man but Sandra Bullock's having none of that shit.
