Gianluigi Donnarumma

Ouch.

Hard to tell when it's slowed down, but it doesn't look like there was much the other player could have done to avoid him.

The still image with the studs just avoiding his eye show how close he was to a much more serious injury.

He went with an open foot over his head, hardly the innocent chap. I think it's borderline criminal.

Reminds me of that insane Mané challenge with high studs to the face of Ederson

Easy to say when it's all slowed down or you only see still images, it all happens in a split second. Donnarumma had as much time to duck out of the way as Singo did to change his body movements.

As a keeper if you're going to slide towards someone like that you better get down lower, if you're going to go high like that up you have to stop. You can't slide into a player with your head at hip height and not expect to get smashed. Even if Singo pulls his foot back, he's still probably getting a knee to the head.

50 seconds on the video, it's just momentum as both players are moving into each other. Very little either player can do to avoid a collision.

I don't think it was intentional. Both players went in hard and Singo tried to leap but simply couldn't leap over Donnaruma's massive frame.
