Disappointing film.

I thought it was going to be very good but it goes on for far too long, there's large periods of not much happening and it's just disappointing on the whole.

I didn't think it was bad, it was still a decent watch. Just disappointing.
 
It's shit and Sandler is an asshole in it sadly
 
I had heard this which is what put me off seeing it. A few Apatow films have been a bit too long for my liking if I'm honest.
 
I watched this last night and it seemed a strange film, not a bad one because I enhoyed parts of it just not really what i expected having seen the cast.

Firstly it's usual that a film follows a general path having a begining in which your introduced to the characters, a middle in which the main plot unfolds and then an ending. The majority of films run that way and will have a twist of sorts along the way. Funny People though seems to have a begining, a middle then an end and then another begining another middle and another end. It's like two stories and this makes the film too long for my liking. 2 and a half hours might not sound too long but it seemed like a very long 2 and a half hours with some parts dragging really badly.

For me the first part of the film was enjoyable, then the second seemed to drag the film as a whole down, maybe it's because it was running on for that long.
