It totally depends on the type of team you're playing against and the team you're playing with..
For example, when I'm a team like Reading (which I normally choose) and I'm playing against Barcelona, then in the custom tactics I definitely play a very very very deep back line in the pressure section,have my tackling as contain rather than aggressive, , with my defender's width being wide, i.e NOT to get dragged onto the side of the pitch where the ball is..
It really helps if you're a weak side and playing against a PACEY side like Barcelona or Spain, or France....
However against a team like Italy, who play much slower and don't have as much pace upfront, it's advisable to play a high pressure, high tempo game.
I know it sounds like i'm over analyzing a bit, but it really helps I've seen...
I've stopped choosing any 5 star teams tbh since it's so much more fun playing with the likes of Reading in clubs, and in INternationals I usually choose Turkey or Croatia..

I updated the game there a couple of days ago.
I started a new manager mode and attempted to buy a couple of United players. In fact, I tried to start this new league about 6 times. The problem is, it keeps saying that United don't have enough players in their squad and can't sell any. I've noticed before that when it says this, it actually stays this way throughout your whole managerial career. So even though United have 38 players out of 40 (I created some of the young lads like Petrucci), I will never be able to buy any of their players? And I did try this a number of times and it was the same every single time? What the hell?

I wouldn't say they are cheats, but i don't know how they get any joy out of playing. A deep defence would only help if you had a monster couple of strikers who could dig you out of a hole if need be with sprinting of your own. I usually go with the offside trap and push up, it's the only way i could stop the long balls.
The online clubs is a joke. People playing with a dream team of Kaka, Ronaldo, Rooney, Messi ect... how did fifa allow this to happen? Cheats!

I am quite glad tbh, I rarley play as United due to the fact everyone plays as them and all they do is knock the ball out too the right.
I can also take no real pleasure in beating them, Madrid on the other hand.......

Also changed the formation and went a little muppet in the market...

My FIFA account is fecked. On Ultimate it shows that I've won loads of online cups. On my Be a Pro game I can no longer enter the team management. It either freezes or shows players negative stats and clubs with no names.

Is it just me or are the people on XBOX live a bunch of noobs; for five games running I score 4/5 against them in the first half and they quit. Stay and fight you bastards!
To be honest i used to think people are dicks when they leave early but when its 4-0 or 5-0 at half time, the 2nd half just seems to be a waste of time really for both people. The ranking needs to be abit better really and yes i have stayed on when its been 5-0 (winning and losing, If im winning i hope they do quit becuase its boring) at half time and at full time it mostly was a waste of time.
What does it count as when someone quits/disconnects? I mean what's the scoreline?

Either 3-0 or, if the score was higher, whatever it was at the time. Doesn't always work though.

So basically i selected xbox live, ranked match and connected to a player. He chooses Sunderland and as i was going through choosing my team, i noticed that Sunderland were 5 stars. Odd i thought, so i checked whether Sunderland would be 5 star on my selection, no they were the regular 3. How strange, i presumed it must be an error, so continued. The game begins and im knocking it around and then notice that his attacking line is Messi, Adriano, Ibrahimovic. Midfield Ronaldo, Ribery etc. Defence, Evra Maicon, Rio, Vidic. So essentially he had a dream team. Needless to say he raped me, but does anyone have any idea how he did this? Another odd thing was that all the players appeared to be wearing orange gloves. Heres a picture i took, which is the half time substitution he did:

Extremely fecking annoying when people do this, bunch of fecking cheating cnuts. Basically you do manager mode and build a super team, then turn live season off and play a ranked game. I think that's how they do it anyway.
i played against a guy. he had Barca (i hate people that only pick Barca and United) but he had Ronaldo,Lahm and casillas on his team...

I actually don't like playing on flat screens. I had a flat screen but I found that the texturing wasn't as good, the frames lagged and the colours were weaker; so subsequently traded it with my brother for this TV. Its bigger (36") and is a CRT. Is quite adequate for the bedroom.
The exact same thing happened to me.. guy picks Real Madrid and they had all the players they've signed/have been linked with. Ronaldo and Villa upfront, Kaka on one wing, Ribery on the other.. Alonso and Fabregas in the centre of midfield, Evra at LB.. ffs!

I started a BAP season with a created player, myself. Started off with Bury, and went from 60 to 71 overall in my first season. Then I moved to Nimes in Ligue 2. Anyway my objectives every game are now usually:
