Thanks for all the vid links on here. I hadn't listened to this album yet. Its interesting - I am liking 3am a lot. On first couple of listens I am not at all sure about Beautiful. Is it a piss take? Is it a piss take of a piss take? Hmmm. Not convinced yet but am perfectly prepared for it to be a grower - and the two and a half million viewers on Youtube can't be wrong!
I was going to bump this anyway. Even though Em links up well with Dre, you can't help but wonder how creative he'd be with another producer once in a while.

Yeah but that can't disguise shoddy workmanship. Method has better delivery at any rate. The Mariah diss track is much better though, I much prefer him when he's got an agenda or a story to tell.

am not feeling Em lately, he just seems to have 'lost it' - not as a rapper, but just, I don't know how to explain it, he seems to be soo out of touch and caught up in his own little bubble...meh
Rappers are best when they are young and hungry, when they become established very few financially successful ones make interesting music. Eminem was really new and interesting when he first came into it (although the sudden change in voice/delivery from the Infinite to the Slim Shady Ep was some reinvention!), but he just hasn't developed and is getting more and more boring, and his choice of beats is getting even worse.
He's a very skilful mc when he puts his mind to it, but just seems to be mining the same infantile humour to death.
His best work is when he is angry IMO. He had that whole anger persona as Slim Shady for SSLP & MMLP - His best work..
Love the new diss track, completely tears Mariah apart - Got to be careful when you go at Em, otherwise you get a Nail in your Coffin ala Benzino.
