He wanted Fred and we got him and he's been ok but not a revelation

Wanted Sánchez and he was a huge mistake

Wanted Maguire and he's been massively disappointing

Wanted Ronaldo and he's been tepid except for the Champions League

Is Pep doing this on purpose? As a troll I rate him but as a United fan STOP IT YOU BALD cnut.

It's not as crazy as the idea that he actually wanted Ronaldo who's basically the anti-Pep player.

You could give him a bag of potatoes and he’d make a player out of them in his system

I guess we're signing Harry Kane in the summer now that we may face issue with our forward options with all new development... :nervous:

No our own Board needs to stop us leading up the garden path.

He gets rid of shit potatoes and buys very expensive new ones that he can make a player out of in his system.

Brilliant manager all the same.

Fred would be brilliant in Pep's system and Ronaldo would be an effective impact player.

Don't forget Pep gets a lot of transfers wrong but it's easy to bench them and move them on when you don't have a budget to worry about.

If Man City truly wanted anyone then they will get them. We are left with the scraps they don’t want which is one of the reasons why the signings we make are bad.

For example, Haaland this summer. He will go to Man City or PSG and we will have to sign a much worst striker. This is the way it will be until the Glazers leave.

I bet many people said the same thing about Ronaldo last summer.
Why do you think Haaland fits Pep's formation? Actually I don't imagine any out-and-out striker would fit in Pep's system at City.

Ronaldo is the exception not the norm. He was an ex player and a legend here. Cannot think of another situation like that or when another situation like that would ever happen again.

Name someone who we competed with City for post Fergie and won? The last person I can think of was RVP. No player with any kind of sense or ambition would join us over City, if anything the Ronaldo move confirms that for players.

Haaland will fit anyones system, he’s the best striker on the planet.

To be fair Fred would probably have been a very good player for Pep. He might not be at Fernandinhos level yet but he certainly is equal to or better than Fernando who played a decent chunk of games for Pep.

Sanchez would probably not have hit his Arsenal form but if he just reached Barcelona levels that would have been a good addition.

Maguire is simply about getting a English player that the fans can identify with and to abide by the regulation. In the National Team Maguire has been just as good as Stones if not better. Don't believe he is a Pep centre back though. Pep played Mascherano and Kimmich as CB, he is not crazy about CB being 1.90.

Pep was probably trolling about Ronaldo. Although not as extreme as Louis van Gaal it's all about the system for Pep. But, if he wasn't trolling, who knows if he couldn't forge a position where Ronaldos main duty would be to get on the end of all the plays City produce. Sterling to Ronaldo - goal. De Bruyne to Ronaldo - goal. Also gets an extra defender on defensive corners.

Why? They have spent over £1bn on players, shelled out for the world's most expensive defender etc...Lot of ifs and buts and spurious bollocks in your argument.

City have outspent us since their owners took over. It’s only the past 10 years we have outspent them because we are playing catch up for not investing in the 5 years previous. Don’t let the facts get in the way of your agenda though.

Ed hired his own spy who followed Pep around the Manchester scene, trying to tap into his brain, delve into that footballing knowledge.
However Pep found out about this, and every so often at restaurants was over heard talking about how Fred was going to be the perfect partner to KdB and how Harry Maguire is the defender Vincent Kompany could have been, more than you believe.
Well played Pep, you crafty bald bastard, well played.
