Covid Outbreak at Man Utd

Pretty rubbish job protecting against it though isn't it? First vaccine as well that's ever required other people to take it for it to be effective yet it shows it's not really that effective, there will be several more strains in the next few years just wait.

Get off YouTube, you have zero idea how vaccines work.

@AngeloHenriquez and @future2future having an absolute 'mare here. Hope nobody is too sick and recovers quickly from this potentially lethal disease, which is statistically FAR more likely to cause myocarditis than the provably safe vaccine.

Because we cancel the training today due to outbreak. If there is outbreak in the club then the youth team shouldn't be playing as well for safety.

I'm not sure that makes any sense really and still not sure why that relates to the youth team.

The Brentford game will be off.

My wife had a pcr positive then did her own lft the same night and negative. Odd?
A lateral flow test is like taking a photograph on a camera without any zoom. A PCR can take the same photo but with absolutely ridiculous zoom so it can spot things in the frame that a camera without zoom wouldn't be able to focus on.

The potential (very unlikely) side effects or vaccine are literally the exact same you get from COVID, but you are much much less to get it. It's very simple.

What at least makes me happy is that one dumb post here gets reaction like above from other people. It's the opposite on virtually any Polish site, where you will get absolutely murdered for suggesting vaccines are good (I've stopped trying).

My first thought was vaccine side effects. inflammation of the heart. Myocarditis, which is a side effects seen more regularly lately. Also, an unprecedented amount of professional athletes have been collapsing lately.

Agüero: all of a sudden career ending heart problems. Eriksen during the EC. those are only two of many examples. I'm curious to see what will happen in the next years
My first thought reading this is that you are an idiot who leaps to conclusions, given Eriksen wasn't even vaccinated.

I always thought if one person lived in that same house/room has covid means the other people lived in the same house/room can potentially get covid thus they need to be tested. Correct me if I am wrong.

I'm still not sure how you're linking that to the youth team. Have they been training at Carrington? And having contact with the first team?

Carrington has likely been closed for a deep clean and whilst things are sorted.

One has no bearing on the other in my opinion.

Also Aguero suffers from Brugada Syndrome, something I am very familiar with, and it is far more likely to be hereditary than caused by anything else. So both of that posters examples verifiably bollocks.

The covid outbreak started yesterday not today and the report says ''Man United Camp'' not just the first team that means the whole club. If the old trafford youth game is still on then there is no excuse the players can't move their training to Old Trafford.

You're clutching sadly.

How can they train there when the youth team is playing?

Makes no sense nor is OT a training facility.

As said the two things aren't linked in the slightest.

It's not just the prep though, you can't be 100% those players who tested negative don't have it in their system, right? So you risk spreading it to the Brentford squad?

Also seeing a lot of people (mostly LFC fans) on twitter saying it should go ahead if it's only 2/3. What if all 3 are your GKs?! It's not really fair in terms of the integrity of the league.

I’m sorry but what?

It seems some of the coaches have got it.

Not to worry. Train without them. Been doing that for the past three years anyway.

Besides for the preparation, isn’t there a risk of our players spreading it to
the Brentford players and so on?

Not a particularly high risk if they're kept well separate when indoors. But on the other hand, is it sensible to take the chance anyway? It's hardly of massive benefit to the world in the scheme of things to not postpone the game. And moreover, if they're supposed to be staying the night in a hotel somewhere or getting on a coach for example, is it fair to those companies' staff?

Shame for Aguero, I couldn't see much reliable info on his health condition.

If the Brighton game gets canned on Saturday, what's the script with match tickets bought direct from the club? A re-arranged midweek game isn't really feasible for me.

Take a break

I know it’s above my pay grade but it would be a perma ban for such posters if it were upto me.
I bow to the knowledge of the science-y and healthcare professionals mods we have on all this stuff.

Sorry if I sounds like clutching to you. But I'm here just want to know the reason not to go war with you.

The first team can still go training before or after the youth team playing. And you don't need a proper training facility just to train for one or two days, thus, there is no reason why can't we move our training somewhere else like Old Trafford. We trained only for 45 mins before Palace game!!

How can people still not have a clue about covid or vaccines at this stage of the feckin game?

You cant postpone every game its going to be an absolute mess. Especially in the holiday schedule. Feels like a break is coming.

How does this bubble system work exactly? I mean, if it was effective, there would most likely not be an outbreak. Or did they only go into the bubble after some positive tests were found? Do they enter a bubble after testing to prevent being infected after the test was administered? If so, that makes sense, otherwise it's just a craps shoot if you will. I question the entire setup. Not just at United but everywhere. Seemingly the youth players that are training with the first team present the highest risk of cross infection. You would imagine the youth players are more likely to be "out" with friends in more risky situations and can bring it back to others.

re the vaccine, it won't help players not get infected. That's not the point. The point is to not die or wind up in hospital. I don't see much change until a player dies or becomes very sick requiring hospital stay.

There’s no break coming unless teams set out to get covid during that break. We would just have less cases for a few weeks without football but be back to square one when everyone trains together again

I won't mind both Brentford and Brighton game postponing. Gives us much needed break, gives us time to train and for Ralf to implement some of his ideas. We have big enough squad to cope up with these 2 additional matches later in season.
