Champions League KO draw: Who do you think we’ll get?

Salzburg would make a tasty encounter and I have a sneaking suspicion we'll be drawn with them.
 
They will fix it
Ronaldo vs Messi
And give Real and City the easiest that could be as usual.
 
A Portugese team would be nice. Good enough to make it an attractive tie, but still giving us every chance to go through. Given our record in the knockouts in the last umpteen years, it'd be nice to get a decent draw.
 
Probably PSG. Didn’t they fix City v PSG in the groups when it seemed like Cristiano was going to City?

I don’t see why they wouldn’t rig it again.

If I could choose, I would avoid PSG and Atlético, I think we could beat Salzburg, Inter, Benfica and Sporting.

Sorry mate, maybe I worded that badly?

I don't mean that I think we are less likely to get Inter than others, just that if there's 6 teams who we can get then there's a 16.67% chance we will. That makes it 83.33% that we won't get Inter, and the same for any other team I could name so chances are we won't.

I'm being boring/mathematical.

Still, I'll name Inter for the sake of it as a pot luck guess.
 
Athletico Madrid hopefully. Would be a great test playing that sort of cholismo football.
 
Once Chelsea City and Lpool get the easy draws we'll get the harder game.
 
Well, we have a 1/6 chance of drawing PSG so I'm going to jump on the bandwagon and agree that we are 100% playing them in the next round.

Do people here really believe these 'tinfoil hat' conspiracies that UEFA are rigging the draws or is everyone just an eternal pessimist?
 
I feel we'll get PSG. Obviously them and Atletico are the teams to avoid. Oddly despite their star players, I'd fancy our chances against PSG more than Atletico. Obviously Salzburg or one of the Portuguese teams would be ideal.
 
Easiest possible draw please. We are nowhere near ready with the team so we need all the time we can get away from the big boys
 
I don't believe there is anything random about the draw and I believe we will get PSG, for marketing reasons.

Or maybe both. But sure, there is no corruption in UEFA and FIFA.
 
Ofcourse we'll get PSG, Ronaldo v Messi is written in the stars. And, Chelsea will get Lille.
 
I'm guessing the most difficult opponent possible. This is the way.
 
Atletico - They're as bad as any matchup in the competition for us. An effective low block side with serious quality on the break. I feel like they're going to be better by the time the tie comes around.

I don't mind if we get PSG. I'd quite fancy it actually given how they've looked so far. They just have too many passengers to compensate for and it's obvious Pochettino it's struggling to get through to them.

You can bet your mortgage that City will draw Salzburg or Benfica.
 
It is basically nailed on that we'll get PSG. Our Champions League campaigns seem to include theirs every time now.
 
We’ll get PSG of course! Woodward is too stingey to pay to have our draw ball warmed like Chelsea or City!
 
A colleague of mine supports Benfica and he's not too optimistic of his team at the moment, thinks they fluked into the last last 16 and are a total mess. So them.
 
The competition needs the fancy, dramatic factors to draw more interest globally to make it the continued success (It sounds conspiracy theory ;).)
So, we will get redbull due to Ralf link, or psg due to Messi-Ronaldo rivalry.
 
PSG or Atletico. Cannot see us drawing any of the others at all.

Atletico have been largely poor this season in Europe, but you can bet that they'd turn up in prime form against us. We will get PSG anyway, something, something Messi v Ronaldo corruption.
 
I hope for Sporting. Salzburg are pretty good and the sort of team that has embarrassed us the past few years. Though shouldn't be a concern now... its still raw. Would rather avoid PSG, leave them for Liverpool.
 
Of all of those teams, the one I would be least optimistic about facing is Atletico, I just don't feel we have the maturity, the tactical framework or the nous to beat a side like that over two legs yet.

As good as PSG are, you always feel they are flaky and will concede chances, which lets you feel you have an opportunity

Who we’ll get - Inter

We aren’t very good with cup draws these days.
 
Let me check my crystal ball.....oh wait I don't have one and can't predict the future so I have no answer. Really good question and post, though.
