Well, here goes the story. Last year, I picked up a Blu Ray in America, which played perfectly on my PS3. Whoop de doo.

So this year on holiday I bought 15 odd blu rays at ridiculously low prices in the US, only to get them back and for half to say they cannot be played due to the region of the disk type thing bollocks shitbag.

Is there anyway around this or am I just fecked out of DVD's and should sue Sony for telling me their Blu-Rays were region free... when they are blatantly not.?

Blu-Ray players are region free but the content on them isn't. I know over here you can get players that are multi-region.

Seen that cheers mate. Just a bit pissed off.

In that case, I am willing to sell them to anyone they are useful to. Half price what I paid for them.

Anyone have a Region A Blu Ray player?

Hmmm, are you sure that the discs are region free, or at least dual region, in this case A B I think?

I was reading somewhere that someone was having problems with region free discs on their PS3 (US PS3 and Euro discs - bloke liked a lot of BBC stuff) after they upgraded to FW2.7, before that the bloke claimed that they would play no problem and still play no problem on a stand along player. Others said there is no problem, so........

Nope, all disks that will not play say "Please play this disk in a Region A Blu Ray player". The bastards shiny circle things.

I wrote a long e-mail to fye, the store where the employees told me that the disks would 100% work. Waiting to hear back from them. I have just said that as I was told by the employees they would work, I bought them. If they had said there weren't sure, I wouldn't have.

Reckon I have a case?
