Only just noticed that the demo's out, anybody played it?

It looks like a very good game from the videos that've been released

Yeah i've been playing the demo, not a bad game actually. The presentation could be a bit better but the playability is there. Debating whether or not to purchase it at the moment, i just dont know whether it has any longevity to justify the price.

It's dreadful on 360 and for the Wii it's even worse.

You played it?

Aye. On both consoles. For a next gen game the graphics are dire, but when i heard it was on Wii i thought it made more sense but then i played it and it's fecking awful. You feel no connection at all between the Wiimote and the batter or bowler. They should have made it more like baseball on Wii Sports.

Ah fair enough, from the adverts on the wii it looks pretty shit.

Might still get it on 360 when the price drops

I bought it for the PS3 and really enjoyed it. The graphics could be better, but the animation is very good. I have only played one 50 over game (and I simmed fielding innings because I was short on time) but I thought it was a great change of pace compared to other sports games.

I will post more thoughts when I have more chances to play it at the weekend, but I think if you enjoy Cricket, then this is a very worthwile purchase.

I love cricket but thought it was very poor. I'll wait and see what EA do.

EA Used to but havent since 2006 I don't think, Brian Lara is Ashes 09, both codemasters

I know they're both Codemasters but it doesn't resemble the Brian Lara series at all which makes me think Codemasters is using a different company to make it.

Whats the bowling like on this? In every cricket game I've ever played it's always been a let down. Batting is where its at.

More realistic, cant reverse swing untill the balls been worn down etc

How the feck do you catch the ball!? Do you time pressing A when the ball reaches the fielders hands or what? Also, im not sure im spinning the ball. I know it's something to do with LT and RT but i frustratingly bash and hold them but feck knows if that does anything.

You press A when its a certain colour, couldnt tell which though
