Sevilla fans are just like every other club’s fans. We do the same with new signings in their opening spell at United. Get super excited about positive moments and ignore any flaws. That honeymoon period can last half a season or more.

The key to that sort of duration is never playing.
I don't get what's the point of downplaying a performance. If one wants him sold shouldn't they want him to do well so we can get a good fee? These Martial threads are always lose-lose. If he doesn't do well there will be no takers.
I look at how we play and how many times we counterattack after our opposition counter attack us too- then it makes me miss Martial's hold up and link up play when we play with inverted forwards.
It's not that I rate him but more that our other strikers can't do what he can whilst he can't what our other strikers do either.

Martial has been poor for too long and needs to be sold this summer. However, we should have kept him and played him cause Ronnie is doing even worse

agreed when he was in form with greenwood and rashford he was a great false 9. for some reason we moved away from that to poachers and now the link up play is horrible
That was easily the best form and most entertaining football post Fergie. It probably only lasted 6 months at most but we really did play some lovely stuff and score some great goals.

I think the whole downfall started in that spurs game when he was hacked by Lamela. It’s probably just a trigger. There must have been something else in his mind. Ironically, he and Lamela are now teammates!

We fought to keep Cavani for another season and then unexpectedly bought Ronaldo which was never the plan. If Ole had known Ronaldo would've been bought I am sure Cavani would have been let go.

Exactly, we all know he’s a talented player but he’s lazy as feck and has not developed himself at all. He can have a purple patch at Sevilla ala Lingard at West Ham but he’s had more than enough time to show that he hasn’t got the attitude or application required to play at United.
Hope he has a good loan just so we can cash in.
For what it’s worth, I’d rather have Dan James in the squad than Martial.
I was more talking about in the winter transfer window after we've seen how little Cavani is doing this season.
Especially with Greenwood being gone as well and Rashford being the worse attacker in the squad currently, we could do with another versatile forward

Martial is levels above Lingard and always had been. James too. It’s just silly revisionism that makes him look like a complete failure here when he was largely very decent.
