I think it's obvious @Son was on the wind up.
Jeez! There are tons of footballers who go to church and probably ask for healing.Probably basing it on getting injury cures from a witch doctor. Would rather put his faith in that then go through rehab and work for his fitness.
Alarm bells would be ringing if I was Ole!!
Who actually cares that he went to some supposed healer?
Fair enough, I just thought for him to come out with that statement someone had a particular problem with it.I don't think anyone really cares, they're just laughing at him for doing something they deem to be dumb.

Sorry but did you see Messi in 2008? He put the fear of God in me every time he touched the ball at OT.
Also this game comes to mind.
You really cannot compare the two at all!
Yeah, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. He said he did it for his parents, he probably didn't believe in it himself either.
He was 16 lets not forget.
Doubt we’d have seen a young Roy Keane do the same. It’s just obvious when certain players aren’t the sharpest tools in the box.He said he did it for his parents, he probably didn't believe in it himself either.

I don’t see what’s bizarre in saying I like his talent as a footballer but he’s passive and a bit of a wet leaf personality wise and on the pitch. Needs to do more before we ever rate him. That's just bizzare
Martials dribbling and all round play encompasses a lot of power if u ask me.Apart from your baseless opinion regarding Gomes mentality, I am not sure I understand what "eye of the tiger" refers to and I don't understand how you can imply that Martial is powerful. Martial should not even be close to being described as powerful. Players such as Zlatan, Rooney, Drogba and Lukaku you could call powerful but Martial??
Listening to the commentary, the most remarkable thing is that at 18, Lionel Messi’s buyout clause was £101m. Just came from the Bellingham thread where many are debating the wisdom of spending £30m on him. In 2020. Messi at 18 years old for £101m would have been a great signing! Although you never know what happens in a different environment.
Where does one even start with this post?Doubt we’d have seen a young Roy Keane do the same. It’s just obvious when certain players aren’t the sharpest tools in the box.
He’s also very passive on the field which doesn’t bode well for him here.

yea he was probably out beating people up for their lunch money instead. What a stupid comparison.Doubt we’d have seen a young Roy Keane do the same. It’s just obvious when certain players aren’t the sharpest tools in the box.

Young Roy Keane came to England late and only got there after giving it his all in Ireland to make a disappearing pro career happen.Young Roy Keane was so tough he beats his parents for asking him to do anything. Young Roy Keane was so mentally tough he did what he liked whenever he wanted. Roy Keane was just another united player, did his time and moved on. Stop making a Zeus-like figure of him. Maybe, just maybe people who aren't that tough themselves are the ones making a hero of Roy Keane just to bring down some lad. These players look larger than life when they are out of the game. Tone down the player worship please.
Seems confident that it'll be done.

I think there’s more chatter and conflicting opinions on Angel Gomes than most of our players and I think to myself, why? He’s not done anything to deserve such fervour for a first team spot or not done so little as to be written off. He’s a good prospect in our youth academy that may or may not make it here, like the rest of them. He’ll either sign and be given chances if he’s good enough, sign and not be given chances if he’s not or he’ll leave. If he does leave and goes on to succeed elsewhere, it’ll be because the conditions at his new club were perfect for that development. He could also leave and not play a competitive game in the top flight again.
there’s just so much worry in here about something that has so many variables and cogs. We saw with Rashford that sometimes it’s just about luck to get a chance, then taking it. I don’t remember such outcry for him to get a first team run out before he burst on to the scene and you could say he’s arguably our best player and what with all that he has done off the field recently, is becoming the face of the club.

If he signs i hope thats the case - not sure where would be best for him but possibly abroad?Excellent post.
I think Angel is an extremely talented player, skill wise one of the best in the club I would say. But apart from one or two flashes in a game, he has not set the world alight. Hopefully he will sign a new contract, possibly go on loan next season, then come back as a more seasoned professional. I think in the right team (for him) he could be world class, but time will tell, I still want him at OT though.

Love that statement from Ole. It’s dragged on for too long now and if he still does not want to sign then goodbye.
Agreed.Love that statement from Ole. It’s dragged on for too long now and if he still does not want to sign then goodbye.
