1980's YouTube music nostalgia thread

More from a scouse band. Tha Back of Love, Echo and The Bunnymen.

The scouse music scene was great in the early eighties. Until the Madchester thing knocked them off their fecking perch.

This thread needs some Human League

Empire State Human

Being Boiled, from the 2006 tour, which was fecking brilliant IMO.

Human League - Don't You Want Me

Indeed not.

If we did Sailing should tip the balance.

I'm going to stick up for Rod. I was taken (read dragged kicking and screaming) to one of his concerts a few years back and it was fecking brilliant. A great entertainer, huge stage presence, most songs were OK despite his decidely average voice. Plus he's in his 60s and still shagging super models, so he can't be all bad.

I was going to post Teenage Kicls by the Undertones but it was 1878 :(

Is anyone actually listening to these songs or are we just posting them for the heck of it?

I've listened to most of Wibble's links. The rest of you are posting shite. Billie Jean FFS

Wibble's tastes are similar to mine and his links reflect how I see the 80s music scene. My favourite band of the 80s is The Smiths but I don't see them typifying the 80s sound so haven't posted a link to any of their stuff. To be honest they are worthy of a thread of their own.

They've been showing the Smiths every night over here from a concert in the 80s.It's been on a show called Crown Jewels on VH classic. Not bad.
