13 Games.....

Why cry about letting Martial go. It was the only sensible thing. He openly stated he doesn't want to be here so who gives a toss about wether he stayed or not it would make no difference keeping a player who only walks around and sulks and half the time is injured anyway.

Have only watched 2 of our last 6 games having barely missed a single game the previous 15 years and feel a lot better for it. United this season both on and off the field is the worst I've ever seen and Rangnick in my opinion is absolutely useless. If a manger had any real talent, I'm sure they'd get a job at a top club before the age of fecking 63. The fact is, he talks the talk but in reality is an extremely average manager.
I was a fan of Ole's but agreed the time was right for him to go as he'd totally lost control but this is almost worse. One of the easiest fixture sequences I've seen and we're still struggling. Even Ole would've picked up more points from this run of fixtures.

So you didn’t watch the games but you still decided to have an opinion on something you haven’t watched?

Martial going has been one of the best decisions the club has made in recent years.

I still don't know what we're trying to do. The attack isn't functioning, the midfield is not working and our defence is so passive. What's even more worrying is the gaps between defence, midfield and attack.

I don't see any cohesion, I don't see the players fighting for each other. The workrate isn't there, and we just look like we don't fancy it at all.

Can someone tell me where Bruno plays? Is it in a midfield 3 on the left? Was he a 10 today? Or on the right of the midfield 3? Sometimes he was our highest attacker. I'm not picking on him, I'm just using him as anecdotal evidence that I have no clue what shape we are playing. Bruno seems to be everywhere, and I'm just like "stop".

Look at the way City hold their positions, create overloads and occupy spaces. We're either completely static, or it's literally helter-skelter movement. I'm struggling to watch us these days.

It is difficult to measure the level of improvement under Rangnick as we have not played anyone higher than us. There seems to be a modest level of stability. The stern test will come. There is certainly a mentality issue at present.

Looking back (as much as I like) Ole, he should have gone after the City result. I appreciate that he did to an extent lift us up off the floor after his predecessor. There was a 2 week international break and Rangnick would have had more time to organise what coaches were required. Perhaps, he may have been able to persuade Carrick to stay and retain some continuity.

The players are not able to close these matches out and there is a constant flow of panic once the second half starts. This is where a central midfielder was needed. Someone, to put their foot in when a tackle was needed or a foot on the ball to extract some possesion and maintain composure.

Confidence is key and the win against West ham was good, but as it turns out that break and the off the field events was simply a disaster. It is a microcosm of this season. A bit of optimism but then falls to pieces.

This season has just fallen flat. It like needing an almighty c*₩p and getting to toilet to then only go and miss the bowl.

Truthfully RR has achieved not much except to show how far off becoming a high press team we really are. The fantasists that thought we would do a Chelsea and transform in weeks or months just need to accept this is a very long process. Many of our players will have to go.

Whoever sanctioned that Ronaldo deal should be sac.....oh he's left.

Can't believe we got suckered into that one. Shows how unqualified the previous regime was.

We desperately need a forward..which sounds mad to say given how excited everyone was in August!

Well.... if you re-think and edit your post slightly, it would look something like this:

"Whoever made a phonecall to get the Ronaldo deal over the line and then in an interview after the Everton game made him virtually undroppable, should be sacked...."

But has anyone really got the balls to sack the 'club Ambassador' SAF even though much of what is going on now & not just the Ronaldo thing, can be traced back to him....

You would be 100% right if we had known about the Greenwood thing before we let Martial go.

At the time I don't think the Greenwood story had happened yet.
Yeah, exactly. Can’t blame that decision on hindsight. is it possible to call Martial back? Do we have to pay a penalty for breaking the loan or something?

Given our current state, it’s worth trying Martial upfront. We would look much more dangerous on the counter with him as opposed to Cavani and Ronaldo. I feel the counters are one thing where we have gone drastically backwards from last season.
