13 games under Ralf so far and we’ve scored 1 goal or less in 10 of them.

I think we are looking like a better coached team but we desperately need a forward. Ronaldo and Cavani look finished, Mason may never play again and we’ve said goodbye to Martial. Need to score more goals. The lack of movement in January could cost us CL.

Letting go of Martial was an absolutely mental decision. He should be starting every game up front. Best option we have.

Especially after the Greenwood thing, we could really do with a Martial in the side.

Martial helped win us a game coming off the bench in his last game.

Since then, we've constantly needed life from the bench to save us and there is none.

Who could've possibly seen this decision backfiring?

People love to moan about Maguire and by no means has he been good enough. But the reality is that it is our attackers that have been the main problem this season and until we start scoring goals it will not matter who we start in the defence.

Have only watched 2 of our last 6 games having barely missed a single game the previous 15 years and feel a lot better for it. United this season both on and off the field is the worst I've ever seen and Rangnick in my opinion is absolutely useless. If a manger had any real talent, I'm sure they'd get a job at a top club before the age of fecking 63. The fact is, he talks the talk but in reality is an extremely average manager.
I was a fan of Ole's but agreed the time was right for him to go as he'd totally lost control but this is almost worse. One of the easiest fixture sequences I've seen and we're still struggling. Even Ole would've picked up more points from this run of fixtures.

This is in no way worse than Ole. The reason we’re so poor right now is still Ole, and it’ll take another 18 months to fix his mess.

Yeah, but we didn't know the Greenwood thing was going to happen. If Greenwood is still available, we have another option upfront. He most likely bags some chances that have been missed by Ronaldo and Cavani. Martial being allowed to leave at the point he did was an acceptable decision. He wanted to leave, and was getting little to no minutes.

Literally everybody was saying our squad was too big. We let a couple players go on loan and now it's a mistake?

You would be 100% right if we had known about the Greenwood thing before we let Martial go.

At the time I don't think the Greenwood story had happened yet.

A club of our size should never leave a transfer window weaker than we started it.

I can see the signs of us improving, it's just coming at such a slow pace that you feel there's only going to be so much upside this season.

We look like a team that needs players but we also look like a team that needs a full pre-season of work.

The Martial loan and Greenwood thing has royally fecked us. Left with 2 retirees doing feck all up top. It's funny because as a team under Rangnick I feel we are playing well. We are passing the ball around like a normal football club for once, I think we'll play a similar way against any opponent and have a decent performance against anyone and that's a positive. But feck, we need a striker who can do something positive. And we need to cut out the sloppy lapses in concentration.

Whoever sanctioned that Ronaldo deal should be sac.....oh he's left.

Can't believe we got suckered into that one. Shows how unqualified the previous regime was.

We desperately need a forward..which sounds mad to say given how excited everyone was in August!

We had/have the biggest squad in the league. How many players do you want in the squad? We had little to no time to get a decent replacement for Greenwood. The stuff about him came out on the 30th Jan.

If, after watching United this last few months, you honestly think RR is the problem then you need to take a break from football. He’s trying, mid season, to change the whole system from a very poor level that Ole had us playing. It’s highlighted a group of players that aren’t good enough, over paid and bought on the back of really poor recruitment process. I feel desperately sorry for RR as his reputation will be tarnished by this group of players. I actually hope RR stays on for next season - I bet we are a much better side.

What has martial shown us in his 6-7 years here that makes you all believe he’s exactly what we’re missing right now ??

RR has already said we need a forward. I think that's abundantly obvious. Cavani leaving, Greenwood gone, Ronaldo really struggling - could be age, could be the team, probably both, Rashford has been poor for a while. There's nowhere really to turn for a glimmer of hope except an improving Sancho.

I think any manager could identify that so I'm sure it's a priority for the summer. I don't think we'd have had these recent results with a younger, form striker. But it's not the only problem as we know.

With older players, they tire in the second half. Adds to the problem.
lack of midfield options and as you say no Striker option.
McNeill?

We wont get top 4.

All well and good trimming the squad but still don’t leave us weaker.

Letting go of Martial and VDB was a mental decision considering how we now have Lingard and Elanga as our options to chase a game. Unbelievable. Rashford is also a very bad footballer and now has no competition for his place.

Really?!?!

I for one never, ever want to see him in a United shirt again.

I will walk out of OT if I do

 To think that fans are now clammering for Martial when his output was next to non-existent for 2 years despite numerous chances.

I'm not sure letting Martial go was mental, Elanga coming off the bench looks logical to me. Runs his arse off for 15 mins, a threat in behind, desperate to impress and become a player. All qualities you want on a substitute. Whereas Martial...

Yeah I can't believe how bad we look up front now, that was supposed to be our strongest area. Signing 2 short-term strikers in Cavani and Ronaldo was so stupid. That and the Greenwood debacle fecked us. Add on top of that Pogba, Martial and Lingard leaving in the summer we probably have to add at least 2 attacking players and will ignore our midfield again.

I hope we get Ten Hag in the summer and give him all the time in the world. It's unbelievable how we came from the beginning of last summer to the current mess we are in.

It’s still mental when Ronaldo is looking finished and Cavani is never available. He’s the only other player we have that’s capable of holding onto a ball as a forward. Clearly not as good as he should be but still a reliable outlet. Our attackers have just been shocking this year all round. Crazy considering what the predictions were at the start of the season.

At his worst last season he scored 4 PL goals. In more minutes this season Ronaldo has got 6 from open play. He could also actually dribble and link with other players.

Sure, but if the player is half arsing things and making it clear he wants to leave there is only so much the manager can do. If Martial can't be bothered to fight for his place on the pitch then what you're saying is all theoretical benefit rather than easily realised benefit. That isn't speculative either, we've seen Martials shocking output both physically and statistically over a period, now you have him beating the door down to leave on top.

It's just a fairly straight forward call for the manager, I think. VDB I'm not sure on.

Wait what, getting rid of Martial is mental decision, woot!? Could swear most of you were offering to drive him to Spain for free.
