Opting to not play 5 defenders doesn't necessarily mean going gung-ho, in fact it's normal to go with a back 4. 5 defenders against a defensive teams and a weaker side just doesn't fly right.

News this morning is Mason is in line to start the game, can't post link as it's been posted on my Red Glory app, also apparently put over 3kg of muscle on during the lockdown.

Anybody else heard anything similar for confirmation?

I think we start James here, but been hoping for Greenwood all week.

Rashford will likely have to come off, having only just come back from injury, so it's more likely James to last the full 90 than Greenwood.

Feel a bit sorry for Igahlo. With our players all fit he is resigned to the bench as an impact sub.
Would actually like to see if we can have a front 3 of Rash Odion and Martial. But Martial on the wing isn't as good as down the middle.
Oh well as long as he gets good game time and gets some good important goals for us.

Yeah, I think Martial is the better striker overall and will remain the first choice until he inevitably gets injured.

Ighalo has made an impact from both the bench and when given a starting birth, so it doesn't seem to bother him a great deal.

Not a fan of this safety first approach. Rather go gung-ho full blazing from the get go, kill the game quickly then play safe. 90 mins isn't a lot of time.

Mou may likely set-up defensively as usual, and I'm not confident our front three (Bruno + Rash and Mart) is enough.

Pogba and Bruno lining up alongside one another at CAM would put too much pressure on the sole DM, and he'd get overrun when faced with a competent midfield.

The setup could work with Pogba deployed in a box-to-box role, I guess, but that limits his creative output somewhat.

Yeah think he is just overjoyed to be actually playing for his boyhood club.
In any event, with the games coming thick and fast, he definitely will get some starts here and there.
Just looking at Arsenal having 2 players injured, we need to make sure we don't over do it with our front 3 and back 4 who will possibly be the most vulnerable to injuries.

Going gung ho, for however long, will increase the risk of injuries. I'd rather we ease everyone in. If the game is still in the balance after an hour I'd back a fit and fresh Pogba against their old and tired back line in any case.

I think it will be the usual back 4 with a midfield consisting of Matic, Fred, Pogba, and Bruno. With Rashford and Martial upfront. Bruno will likely have a floating role mostly filling the right side of midfield and Pogba playing as the attacking midfielder and team up with Rashford on the left.

Purely guesswork, mind.

Almost in all big games we have played 3-5-2 (latest was home win vs City), so we might stick to same formation with Shaw as LCB, Williams as wing back. Pogba to come on as a sub later in the game.
