Embarrassing game but whatever. None of them look as well drilled as the City players when they play out the back.

The intensity at which they press is so bad too, opposition players just bounce off of our challenges.

All the tactics in the world aren't going to help them, they just need to be better at football.

People should not forget that we have lost like 6-7 away games in a row - I have a feeling there were a lot of nerves there in the last 20-25 minutes

I guess at this time given where we are, off the back of losing several games to start the season, what matters most right now is picking up points. Hopefully with more wins we get more confidence and try to play our football throughout a whole game instead of being on the back foot for half an hour.

Phew. Nervy second half but very happy to get the back to back win. Defence was superb which was great to see. Of course we still need much more quality in possession. Ideally another CM, RW and striker but getting all three is unlikely. Need Martial back fit.

Yeah the knock earlier seems to have given problems. Otherwise he seemed pretty bright when he came on at first.

Our biggest problem throughout the whole of this match, has been the total inability of our midfield and forwards to win any of the one to one’s and physical tussles.
None of them are capable and as a result Southampton totally dominated, taking the ball off our players throughout the 96 mins, like taking sweets from a baby.

yep the performance isn’t so important but grinding out a hard win is mentally important to put 2 wins together
