It's mine and my partners due date today, she's been prewarned it'll be a home birth if she comes around 8.

We should start Martial in this, Fellaini up front is pointless and a worse player than Martial. Doesn't matter that he's only 19, he'd be playing on a regular basis for Monaco if he stayed there and he has already played (and played very well) in Champions League this season.

Fellaini will be prefered in the PL at first to start in rooneys absence. I can see Martial starting this.

What channel is this on? (in the UK).

    Cheers guys.

What the shit? BeIN has exclusive rights in Australia?... What pathetic, disgusting, sewerage outlet level trash is this?........... Not happy.

    I'd like to see...

    Dave
    Darmian Mike Blind Shaw

(Don't fix what isn't broken, that back 5 are in the top 5 in the world XI as a set IMO currently)

    Schneiderlin

I don't want to see two holding midfielders when it's clear that isn't needed, but it's Louis way to defend first and foremost so I can imagine him opting for it, but I'd like this.

    Wilson* Herrera Schwein Young
    Martial

Martial should start, that doesn't need explaining and Depay needs a rest despite it being his former team, but I would bank on him getting minutes and will be a brilliant option to have on the bench to change things up, along with Fellaini.

    * Between Wilson/ Lingard, not sure if either are at the club, if not I'd like Herrera moved to the wing with Pereira brought on.

SBS get one game every match day and both semis and the final I think.

Its bullshit for us imo and i wish espn kept the rights

Would we need to suffer through Michael Owen's bland and boring commentary during this game? He makes my ears bleed like nobody else, only Robbie Savage comes close.

    Bring Andy Gray back!

I expect this to be our line up

    -------------DDG--------------
    Darmian---Smalling--Blind----Shaw
    ------Schneiderlin-Schwein------
    Mata---------Herrera---------Young
    -------------Martial------------

    Memphis to come us sub

Exactly the team I would go with.

Fellaini can't start, he's no good as a centre forward, maybe he can be an option in the last 10 chasing a goal but that's different. Martial or Wilson need to start this, their movement can drag players about and create space for our wide men and herrera to work their magic. Schneiderlin will come in, i'd suggest for Carrick as BFS is so much better on the european stage and just an all round better player.

Has anyone watched much of PSV this year, can we get any of our Dutch members to post a breakdown of their strengths/weaknesses of the side since losing 2 of their best players?

Carrick might play given that he was substituted at 70 minute on Saturday and Schweinstiger played full match.

He was a starter for Monaco last season, and started away to Arsenal, and against Juventus in the champions league quarter finals, and was the best player for them in the qualifiers against Valencia playing as the lone striker... He's definitely good enough to be playing up there right now. You just can't expect him to do what he did against Liverpool every week, which is fair enough, but it's not like he's at a level where he is between the u21 squad and first team squad like Wilson/Pereira and what Januzaj was last season. He's very clearly a first team player and is strong enough physically to handle the premier league.

He started games for Monaco in the CL last season and even ripped Arsenal apart when he made an assist for Berbatov to finish them off at the Emirates. He's got more CL games under his belt than Fellaini. Match fit too, he's more than ready.

Fair enough, I'm thinking more about the pressure of being under the microscope that goes along with being a United player that might mean Van Gaal wants to ease him in.

De Telegraaf think we're going to start:

    De Gea
    Darmian--Smalling--Blind--Shaw
    Carrick--Schneiderlin
    Young--Mata--Memphis
    Fellaini

They've been pretty reliable on United news since LVG has taken over.

That's not a bad guess actually, Young did well when he came on and Herrera had a quiet game. Schneiderlin rested at the weekend and Carrick taken off midway through the second half. Also, no chance Martial starts this one I don't think.

I suspect Fellaini will again play up top. Yes, Martial is a better option, as he's a fecking striker, but if Van Gaal wanted to exercise caution on that front in a home PL match, I can imagine he will do the same in an away CL match. Even if Rooney were fit Fellaini may have started up there with him.

Yeah but I will be a little surprised if Mata plays the no. 10 role but we'll see.

I won't be surprised to Martial on the bench again but I would probably want to see him start vs Southampton.

Point taken,Schneiderlin would start considering the last match playing time and he would occupy the place of carrick and along with him its between Carrick or Schweinstiger and i believe LVG like to see more of Schwen in Europe.

Mata in the #10 role would be a huge surprise. I'm just wishful thinking! Guess we could go back to seeing Memphis in the #10 role though.

Yep. Really, really annoyed me. They have like five leagues but only one channel (and broadcast in SD). Just shameful that it was allowed to happen. Have to find a stream at an awful hour :(

Forgot that SBS got one game. Got excited and thought it might be ours but no. fecking Real Madrid.

If there ever was a time to play Mata as the #10 it would be in Europe. I still don't think he will, though.

You won't have to listen to Craig Foster though.
