Bullshit. He gets the ball with his right foot but obviously sets out to clear out the player as well. That is the only reason he would go in like that, two feet off the ground, trailing leg outstretched to catch the opponent. It was a cnutish tackle, not just a "freak incident".
Was a last ditch attempt to stop a dead cert goal and 999/1000 it would just lead to a corner/penalty.

I hope Shaw recovers from this mentally. His fearless running with the ball was the highlight of this season for me so far. Hope he is back soon.

Now, that's my last post on Shaw till we get confirmation from club on injury status. I will focus on enjoying the rest of the game. Talking about him again and again gets depressing.

Yes, Shaw was running at high speed, Moreno went in for a challenge and unfortunately he missed the ball. It didn't happen by itself, it was multiple factors that led to it.
I can see why you're still a new member.

    Second-half kick-off
Losing a key part of your defense won't have a huge impact? Okay
We've already lost this game apparently? Might as well go home now.

    Second-half kick-off

We just watched one of our very brightest young players have his leg snapped in half. His career at the top could be over for all we know.

People are upset mate, comments like we've seen are going to be common place over the next few hours and shouldn't be taken seriously.
Fair enough mate, you're probably right. But I still expect a selection on here to be saying similar after the match or in the coming days.

Hopefully he makes a quick recover, as I said before he's been brilliant this season and it's on unfair on the kid.

    47 min

Martial shows good strength in the box up against Bruma, he nearly turns the defender and wins a corner in the end. Strong play.

    47 min

Memphis's corner is cleared at the near post.

That's the key word isn't it, you'll always have a few contrarian bellends whatever the topic. I think most people here are so upset given that Shaw has arguably been our best player this season; the injustice at Moreno not seeing red as per the laws of the game, and being directly involved in the equaliser, is just fuel to the fire.

Any of the Paddys watching on TV3? What the feck happened Brian Kerr? Did Harry sell him?

I'm watching it here. I could certainly do without hearing about "li-ul dinkies" from that drug-addict sounding gimp. Also I notice that nothing was said about Shaw. At all. Like seriously.

Seriously the mentality some have here that if they are defending the opposition with regards to anything against United that they appear smart and non biased. Our current best and (set to be best) future left back just got his leg snapped because of a dangerous tackle with no regards to consequences by an opposition player. There are going to be angry comments and quite frankly, posters are entitled to these comments completely in this case.

Doesn't excuse if the tackle is reckless and/or excessive force, with no regard for the safety of the player your are tackling. If you can't win the ball safely then you don't make the tackle - that's why it is a red card offence by the letter of the law.

I hope we score a hundred goals in this game and PSV are that embarrassed that they cease to exist as a club. cnuts.

    I miss Vidic. :(

I've lost interest due to the injury. Only one player on the pitch scoring would give me any sort of buzz right now and we know who that is.

I certainly wouldn't wish any harm on Moreno regardless of his tackle but it beggars belief as to why he's still on the pitch after that challenge. The only thing I would wish for is that Moreno scores a last minute own goal and then gets sent off.

No it doesn't. The force with which he went in was ridiculous and was bound to cause damage. "999/1000", nice bullshit figure.

Lovely one-two between Memphis and Martial. The Dutchman cuts inside, feeds Martial in the box who tees up the shot but Memphis's shot is straight at Zoet. Nearly a lovely goal and Martial leading the line brilliantly there.
Talkshite never even mentioned that he broke his leg.

"Luke Shaw's "injury" is just a ploy by LVG to distract us from the tumescent shite that his team call 'football'. Call our premium-rate number if you want to discuss this with us."

    52 min

PSV get forward for the first time in the second-half and win a corner off Blind. Narsingh delivers but United get it away.
