Don't think Memphis will start this one, he looked nakered against Liverpool

    Memphis:lol:

Looks like Juve mug shot after he robbed a candy store

Memphis had a tough childhood growing up, hence it's visible in the pic. He had to be a bad-ass to survive.

On a lighter note, Memphis looked like the kind of Kid who would make life a living-hell for kids like Pereira at school. :nervous:

LVG a said he doesn't believe in resting players. I hope he realizes Bastian and Carrick need their games managed.

    Final Predicted Line-up:
    ___________________________________________________________________

    1. de Gea

    36. Darmian 12. Smalling 17. Blind 23. Shaw

    16. Carrick 28. Schneiderlin

    18. Young 21. Herrera 7. Memphis

    9. Martial
    __________________________________________________________________

    Bench:
    20. Romero, 33. McNair, 5. Rojo, 31. Schweinsteiger, 8. Mata, 44. Pereira, 27. Fellaini

Predicted Score: PSV 0-4 Man Utd (Memphis X2, Martial, Pereira)

He barely does that though. I dont expet him to change the team, maybe Martial in and thats it.

Lol. Confused as to whom to support?

    Moved to the appropriate thread.

A little bit, yeah. I'll be sitting in the home stand so I won't be cheering if United score, but I really don't mind who wins this one. I've followed both teams since I was 4, when my cousin showed me Manchester United after already taking me to a PSV match.

I wonder, does this make me a plastic fan? I genuenly like both clubs.

Same team with Schneiderlin in for Carrick and Young in for Memphis. Double switch after an hour with Mata and Young off for Martial and Memphis - release the brakes and their defenders won't know what hit them

Do we know the whole squad that has traveled to Holland?
Same 18 against Liverpool + Pereira and Wilson.

    De Gea
    Darmian, Smalling, Blind, Shaw
    Carrick, BFS
    Mata, Herrera, Memphis
    Fellaini

Romero, Valencia, Rojo, McNair, Schneiderlin, Pereira, Young, Martial, Wilson

I like this formation. Just makes sense, plenty of cover for Defense & Wing-backs without sacrificing a threatening attacking posture.

    Wheres Matta?

On the bench as I prefer a natural right footer with a bit more strength and allot more speed on the right hence why I have left Matta out.

He is always an option to replace Herrera if he has a bad game.

    Wheres Carrick?

Interchangeable with BFS and Schneiderman but I like the understanding that is growing with the 2 I have chosen

    Wheres walley?

    Hamstring Injury

    I'd like to see:

    -------------de Gea--------------
    Darmian---Mike--Blind----Shaw
    ------SchwneiderSteigerlin-----
    Young-------Mata------Memphis
    -------------Martial--------------

or possibly Memphis on the other side. Just having wingers on the wing and Mata at #10 would be lovely.

I'd rather Memphis play upfront but there should be no reason why Martial cannot start at center forward already. You invested money in him, he looks good then why not invest the time and let him improve?

Being costly and having a good game off the bench (good game or one good move?) doesn't mean he's ready.

    Would be happy with that.

This is true. But was is the alternative?
It's not like we are playing Martial and putting Suarez or Ibrahimovic on the bench.
We don't have any decent strikers.

Aye, but I would look a little long term at it. If Van Gaal thinks he's not ready, then I wouldn't rush it. I'm not sure playing upfront for United is a great joy right now for anyone.

He started games for Monaco in the CL last season and even ripped Arsenal apart when he made an assist for Berbatov to finish them off at the Emirates. He's got more CL games under his belt than Fellaini. Match fit too, he's more than ready.

Martial will start, as will Memphis. I'd like to see Herrera, Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin in the middle. Have a feeling Valencia will get minutes

Is there any pre match conference? Can't seems to find it

He was a starter for Monaco last season, and started away to Arsenal, and against Juventus in the champions league quarter finals, and was the best player for them in the qualifiers against Valencia playing as the lone striker... He's definitely good enough to be playing up there right now. You just can't expect him to do what he did against Liverpool every week, which is fair enough, but it's not like he's at a level where he is between the u21 squad and first team squad like Wilson/Pereira and what Januzaj was last season. He's very clearly a first team player and is strong enough physically to handle the premier league.

I doubt it. I'm from India who stayed in the Middle East for 12 years. I supported United since I was 10 or so. I have spent countless school nights staying up for CL games. :D. My ambition is to watch a United game at OT.

Really difficult line-up to predict with a few 50-50 decisions that could go either way. Hopefully I am able to find a stream. Keen to watch us officially back in the CL :)

Probably the most difficult lineup to predict yet. Before now it has been easy 9/10 of 11's.

Does Young start? Does Morgan come into midfield after the short turnaround from the derby? Does Felli get another shot at #9?

I think Young will start, would be harsh for him to miss out after the previous performance and with the form Memphis is in, don't think it's a good idea letting him play in front of his old home crowd.

Expect the same team, with Morgan in for Bastian. The Pigfecker played 3 games the last 2 weeks so it may be wise to use him as sub.
