Man Utd's early hard training is paying dividends. I've never seen Utd this fit. The greyed haired Schweiny was out-running players ten years younger than him after 80 minutes on Saturday. That after a tough international beforehand. He can handle this match if needed, though I don't think he is as you have decent cover.

I'm predicting PSV 0 - 2 Utd. LvG should easily top this group as his style is made for this competition.

It's respectable to see some praise from a Liverpool fan after a defeat. I'm actually delighted with Bastian' fitness. As long as he stays injury free, he could be a major asset in Europe and a difference maker in where we finish in the league.

    DDG
    Darmain Smalling Blind Shaw
    Carrick Schneiderlin
    Mata Herrera Memphis
    Martial

I think we'll go this tomorrow, I was gonna put Young in for Memphis, as I think his cameo at the weekend would see him start over Memphis, but I feel Memphis would be really up for this game and LvG would know that.

Bastian can't play every can he? Would love him to, but I think he'll be rested for this one and straight back in for our up and coming PL game.

I still don't think he'll start Martial. LVG will want to integrate him into the philosophy more first imo.

I feel it's too early to be starting Martial but I'd like to see him getting 30 mins if we are winning. So it's Fellaini up front for me again. That really highlights the major weakness in our squad doesn't it? I would stick with Memphis for this one I think it's a good opportunity for him.

It would be nice to see Pereira get some minutes in this match, isn't PSV his former club as well?

Also, former PSV coach reckons they are going to target Smalling as the weak link.

Seems a bit weird to press one centre back but not the other. I can't remember ever seeing such a thing happen.

We may as well not travel over there, they are going to murder us 7-0 according to this guy.

    I think

    De Gea

    Darmian
    Smalling
    Rojo
    Shaw

    Schneiderlin
    Fellaini
    Herrera

    Young
    Martial
    Mata

I've been wanting to see something like this for a while, a 4-3-3 with 1 DM and 2 box to box mids in Herrera and Fellaini. I cant see LVG setting up like that now though, it seems he is set on having 2 defensive midfielders sitting.

Just read on de telegraaf that Psv don't have any injury worries ahead of the game on Wednesday.

First five games they've won 3 and drawn 2. Last match they thrashed camber 0-6, but have to take into account they're 2nd from bottom and promoted to eredivisie in 2013.

Beat feyenoord 3-1 at home 2 weeks ago

Captain luke de Jong seems to be playing well and scoring (hatrick over the weekend)

Expect us to play well, dominate possession and hope to follow up the win over 'pool with a neat 0-2 win to united

Martial instead of Fellaini and Schneiderlin instead of Carrick/Schweinsteiger are the only changes I would like us to make.

I don't want to start Martial just yet but I really don't want to see Fellaini start up front again. Now if we didn't loan out Januzaj I would start him up front in this one.

    De Gea
    Darmian-Smalling-Blind-Shaw
    Carrick-Schneiderlin
    Mata-Herrera-Memphis
    Martial

Romero, Rojo, Valencia, Schweinsteiger, Fellaini, Young, Wilson/Pereira

Fellaini is just slow and not a striker. I think he will start tomorrow though as LVG will still be trying to ease in Martial. I would actually start Wilson but he is going on loan so I highly doubt it.

I like this formation. Just makes sense, plenty of cover for Defense & Wing-backs without sacrificing a threatening attacking posture.

    Wheres Matta?

On the bench as I prefer a natural right footer with a bit more strength and allot more speed on the right hence why I have left Matta out.

He is always an option to replace Herrera if he has a bad game.

    Wheres Carrick?

Interchangeable with BFS and Schneiderman but I like the understanding that is growing with the 2 I have chosen

    Wheres walley?

Normally, I prefer us to play established players.
This is the first time in a long time I want something different.
    I'd like Martial to start.

Sterling, Owen, Rooney - all did well in their teenage years at the highest level, so there is no reason why Martial can't score a goal against PSV.

I fully agree, When it is established that your established players are simply not good enough or are not performing then its time to try something different.

Obviously you will get the usual "you see we told you they were not good enough" thrown at you if you try different players and it is not a spectacular impact straight away. But these types like to ignore that the same old approach with the same old players got them the same poor performances and results week in week out.

Opposition sides need to have someone to think about & fear or to at least be challenged by a threat from somewhere on the pitch. It is far to comfortable for the opposition to sit back and wait for a chance like we have been giving to other teams with our negative possession game.

What the feck is this champions league thing anyway?
