I think that's a bit harsh. Welbeck was a good player, he just had really bad luck with injuries.

To be fair for all we know had he stayed at United he may have not had the lengthy injury problems that have ended up really derailing his career, he's not first player to have a promising future halted by injuries and he wont be the last.

Easy to say after. He is a talented player. We did terrible to build the future squad and injuries been a problem for him and us.
At the time it was a stupid move since we didn't go for Lewandowski or Zlatan that year. We got Falcao on loan in who failed big time.

We have lacked squad players up front for a long time. Granted we got Rashford out of nowhere to make previous decisions look better than.
