A mostly boring half. Sociedad seem content to keep possession without doing much and we aren't forcing the issue enough as the home team. But we still should be ahead if our front two could control the ball. Eriksen and Dalot are the only ones who have looked good throughout, which makes sense as they are the starters.

I can see the idea behind putting Fred as a 10 to balance Ronaldo's lack of pace but Fred's first touch is non existent and Ronaldo seems to have lost his too. Casemiro has been beaten a few times but his forward passing has been good. Antony has shown good workrate but we haven't provided him with enough 1 on 1 situations. Also, it's a bit of a nitpick but Malacia needs to be more adventurous with his passing, like Dalot is.

We need to change something in the frontline to win this game because right now it's not working.

I can't help but feel if Martinez does it, he'd be able to get back and cover. When Maguire steps up and something gets by him, you just know he'll have to make that oil tanker turn and then accelerate at a pace equivalent to a mobility scooter

Not surprised that we've looked a lot worse. We've rotated most of the XI. Disappointed in Casemiro. He's been poor in every game so far. Based on what they've shown recently McTominay should absolutely still be 1st choice for now (never thought I'd say that). Maguire's been poor again, keeps swapping positions with others in the defence unnecessarily. Eriksen and Dalot have been our best players imo. Elanga has been ok too.

It is quite ridiculous. That woman coming on the screen in an all black outfit and saying UEFA made the game go ahead. If people are too sad to watch or cant watch because their eyes are too teary than they wont watch. The people who are watching want to watch so i dont know to whom BT is apologizing. This is actually very much like group games for United under SAF. United look in control , other team haven’t had any chances and had Ronaldo been on it we could be a goal or two up.

Not overly exciting but we look in control , if it continues like first half only a smash and grab by the Spanish will result in a loss.

Ya we've been underwhelming but haven't looked like conceding every time we lose the ball, which at times we have in recent years. Id still hope to see more though, momentum is important
