Not trying to jinx anything here - but when I look at this Newcastle-side, I get scared on their behalf. It is so lacking in quality - it's hard to find 3-4 teams in the P.L who on paper look weakerYou do know he's banned?

We'll probably see a 3 man midfield when we go to tougher away matches and have to pack the midfield. I would much prefer to see Herrera start as a 3rd midfielder rather than a number 10. He doesn't play like a number 10 anyways.Glad to see Schweinsteiger get the start he deserves, feel bad on Carrick though as it's clear he's the planned fall guy of the three. Would have liked to see Herrera get a start as well but it's clear we are now trying to build the confidence of Januzaj.
Truth be told the lad has bags of potential and we could be looking at a world class player once he's matured. Yeah, it could be a bit of a weird one. I'd like to think however Van Gaal isn't naive enough to think we don't need to strengthen. Struggling to beat Spurs, Villa and Newcastle isn't exactly giving me (and hopefully him) hope when we come up vs City, Chelsea etc.6/11. :|

It's the bigger teams that we thrived against last season though, despite struggling against the lower half teams. At least we're grinding out wins. That away performance vs Villa was promising IMO.Bah 10/11, went with Carrick over Schweinsteiger.
