I think having Herrera linking the midfield to the attack could help us here. Maybe taking Memphis or adnan off for him

This is why getting Howard Webbs opinion is pointless. He's never going to admit an official made a mistake. If that Rooney goal is offside by the letter of the law then they need to change the rules because flagging for that is just ridiculous. He's absolutely level and I don't care if his flapping shirt is 0.2 of a millimetre offside.

It's not offside since Webbs said that it's Rooney's shoulder that is offside, I think that his feet are also offside though.
In the case of Mitrovic he is offside since it's his foot who is offside.

You can't play the ball with your shoulder or arm when you can play the ball with your foot.

Well, this is looking pretty much as expected. We sort of dominate, but don't score, as usual, and Newcastle were closest to scoring. I think Memphis is looking promising even if it hasn't come off yet today. He's our flair guy up front, which is needed.

Our main weakness lies clearly in the front three. Even when our general play is class we don't make use of it.

Someone give Rooney a tap in.

What? Both have been the best players put there. It isn't there fault ref is allowing Newcastle to kick them at every opportunity.
Watching a different game to me. Memphis consistently making the wrong decisions, januzaj continually taking more touches than needed, slowing the game down and falling over if another player brushes past him.

Why do people want Mata off when he has been head and shoulders the best player on the pitch.

Should have punished them the first 15-20 mins when we dominated. Rooney looked in line on the offside goal so that sucks. Memphis is trying to hard to score, hopefully he'll
"relax" more (play simpler i suppose) in the second half. Not to worried though, we will win this.

How shit is Romero? Every save he has tried he hasn't even been close. On top of that he looks nervous every time he gets the ball and his decision making inside the box is shit.

Except of that we've looked ok I think. We'll get an early goal in the 2nd half.

    Second-half kick-off
Was an interesting game first half. United look good when they play with a high tempo. No one really having a bad day at the office. However, decision making from front 3 could be better. When we slowed the tempo gave the too time to get back.

I would expect Herrera to come on for Schweini as I think the pace will catch up with him. If Rooney does not score, expect Adnan off and Hernandez on upfront.

    Second-half kick-off

    No changes at the break.
The amount of negativity about us from the media is astonishing. They spend all their time around the game talking about how disappointing we are.

Can't beleive Howard Webb's explanation for why Rooney was offiside: says that because only the defender's arm was goalside it was offside. Wrong: for an attacking player if his arm is forward it sin't offside because you can't score with your arm. The law does not say the same about a defender... Webb was pretty poor when he was on the field and hasn't improved

I prefer to look at the bigger picture, the gulf between these sides is much better than a bad offiside call.
The margin of error in EPL is so narrow this decision can cost us a couple of places. I don't get these comments.

That's why such people are not worth being pundits. Case in point, there's a former NHL referee in Canada who has done punditry for more than 25 years and he was never shy in criticizing the referees whenever the case was solid. He's one hell of an entertainer as well.

All about tempo. LVG has got to get more speed of thought into our play. There's no point of being ultra careful up front. You score goals through risk and unpredictability. We're just too deliberate.

I thought he's done well - maybe failing to shoot a couple of times when he's been trying to give the fat bloke an easy chance
