Frustrating half. Started very well, some good play. Credit Newcastle for sorting themselves out and making it harder for us to break them down.

Would love for Hernandez to come on. He looked sharp & his pace could stretch them.

Really good half from us, particularly early on. Shame we haven't been able to get anything from it as Newcastle have slowly pulled themselves back into the game. Hopefully we can keep this domination up and actually put away a couple of chances.

Started very very well. Should be 2-0 or so up from just the first 20 minutes. Gradually got worse, that or Newcastle grew into the game. Refereeing has been very poor, case in point Rooney's goal.

Bit more cutting edge needed in the second half, need to wrestle back control.
