I remember when Fergie`s United meet Barcelona, and we had Ji Sung Park marking Messi all game. I hope that Fred gets the same role against De Bruyne. Then Haaland will become significantly less dangerous.

I can only see another hammering.

We might get 10 to 15 mins at the start where we look dangerous, nothing will come of it and City will then pass around like it's a training game.

Shaw has a chance to play as their leftback and i think Guardiola would love to have Martinez. They do have an insane amount of talent in that team, based on the names and talent on the pitch City should win the game.

As long as we don’t get massacred, I won’t be disappointed if we lose by one goal and we look like we can match them.

Our journey with ETH is still early and no doubt we’ll have some losses later in the season even if we win this, but we look much better than a year ago and it looks like something interesting is further down the line. It doesn’t feel like we’ve hit the wall and all we‘re seeing now is as good as its going to get.

Guardiola’s City give out that 2011-13 Fergie United vibe, where it feels like the manager and the team is coming to the end of it’s cycle but they’ve still got it to beat teams when it matters based on muscle memory so to speak. Buying Haaland kinda feels like us buying RVP, where it feels like the manager is throwing the dice one last time before heading off.

Few huge calls by ETH. I am not sure what to think about it. Left his two expensive signings on the bench ans changed positions for our best lb and our best no10.

Martinez probably is not up to speed after partying with Argentina, while Fred had to play in this game, and given that Antony so far has failed to set the world alight he has gone with Bruno. I don’t see anything huge in those calls, all look logical to me and something I’d have done.
