How times change. He was slagged off before. Maybe there is hope for Lingard and Fellaini, too.
Shows what a good manager can do with players.
Klopp has got some of his shite playing well, too.
Agree. It shows how vital choosing the right manager is.

Guarantee we'll have a stone-wall penalty on Sunday and he'll completely shy away from making the call.

    He's a spineless loser of a ref/person.

    hartbutt.jpg

It was shocking that in that game, he allowed Hart to headbutt him like that.
In that same game, he sent off Smalling.
And later that season, he would send of Di Maria, for touching his shirt.

    Patrice

The funny bit is the Scouse entourage suddenly appearing. "Stop hurting his feelings! He's sensitive, you know! "

I know mate. Reina was particularly pathetic that day. Always thought he was a bit of one. That day just underlined it.

I LOVE beating Liverpool. Any victory is good enough. Smashing them is always great. I'd happily take a 90th minute header 2006 style though. Too bad we don't have Gary Neville to run in front of their fans kissing the badge. Be immense to see Jose run down the touchline taunting them.

I see Graeme Souness is beginning to show his bitterness now that Utd are on the up. Laughable combined XI and I noticed his angle on his Utd V Liverpool piece is equally as biased.

Most of the time I watch Souness on TV he gives a pretty fair assessment of United and always talks about us being a massive club up there with Madrid, Bayern, Barca etc so I don't usually mind him but that line up is a bit of a joke.

Souness has a weird hatred for Pogba. Watch him on Sunday give Pogba no credit for his performances this season and try to say that he's been underwhelming. Can't stand the cnut.

Zlatan hasn't played for nearly two weeks so that would be my only concern, in terms of sluggishness early on in the game.

And I know everyone's gone Barry White on Jose recently - but does he really have to gee up the fans for a game against Liverpool?

I mean, if you're a United fan at OT for this game and you can't give it some welly then you have no business being a United fan.

It's just about forgivable though if you've had a nine-game winning streak and broken the cult of Wayne Rooney.

    But only just.

    Honestly.

Ive really got a dodgy feeling here.

I think you'll twat us. Iam not just saying that.

If it was summer I'd go camping in rural Wales for the week. If I had the balls I'd throw 500 on United.
Lol. But why though? You haven't exactly been ripping up trees lately but you're not leaking either.

EDIT; must add I hope your feeling is right.

Probably because he has sky high potential and Liverpool had no chance in hell of signing him.

He was criticising him from the moment it looked like we were signing him and is now too stubborn/arrogant to back down despite Pogba's excellent performances. It's quite sad.

I actually still can't believe the whole Evra-Suarez thing. It's just surreal. Suarez was racist to Evra. It is an undeniable fact.. And Liverpool officially came out with t-shirts defending Suarez. The Liverpool fans I know to this day say that the term used by Suarez is slang for friend and that Evra lied about being racially abused at Stamford Bridge, and they hate Evra. Evra got racially abused and then got witch-hunted by the club who's player was responsible. It was despicable. How did Liverpool just get away with that?

Before that I always went along with the whole 'deep down there is respect between the two clubs' thing but after that, absolutely not. They're really vile.
I've never known a club/group of fans who have such a chip on their shoulders and are so biased, regardless of facts.

From the media, there seems to be a collective stance that they can't be seen to be anti-Liverpool.... or their fans go "do you know who we are?!"... "do you know what we've been through? How dare you say anything negative!!"

    Staggering.

He claimed Pogba had no footballing brain.
    Clown

The Last 5 Meetings doesn't have the 0-0 result? Good to see Jose getting a sense of humour back in the pressers. Really hope Rojo gets to start. Martial to also start though Mata's been great too. Can't wait for this game. I originally predicted a 2-0 to United but the way Liverpool have been playing recently, have put a 3-1 in my BBC Sport Predictor.

    Manchester United v Liverpool: facts
    • This will be the 50th Premier League meeting between Manchester United and Liverpool - United have won 27 of the previous 49 (D9 L13).
    • Liverpool have lost 11 of their last 14 visits to Old Trafford in the Premier League, winning the other three.
    • Liverpool have lost more Premier League matches (27) and also the most overall league matches (67) against Manchester United than versus any other opponent.
    • This clash has seen 16 red cards shown in the Premier League - only Everton v Liverpool (21) has produced more dismissals.
    • Only Steven Gerrard (8) has scored more goals in this Premier League fixture than Wayne Rooney (6 - level with Robbie Fowler).
    • This could be Wayne Rooney's 450th Premier League game, becoming the 21st player in Premier League history to reach this landmark.
    • Manchester United had just 35% possession vs Liverpool at Anfield in October, their lowest total in a Premier League match since Opta began recording this data in 2003-04.
    • Jurgen Klopp has lost just one of his six meetings with Jose Mourinho (W3 D2 L1), with that defeat coming in 2013 via a 2-0 away loss for Dortmund v Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final second leg.
    • Juan Mata has had a hand in five goals in his last four appearances against Liverpool in the Premier League, scoring three and assisting two.
    • Zlatan Ibrahimovic has 13 goals in his first 19 Premier League appearances for Manchester United - the same record as Dwight Yorke and Robin van Persie. The only player to score more in their first 19 PL apps for the Red Devils was Ruud van Nistelrooy (15).
    • Adam Lallana has been involved in 14 Premier League goals this season (seven goals, seven assists); more than any other English player.

It's premature to suggest Chelsea will collapse without Costa (and that's even if he goes), but Mourinho will know better than anyone that if Chelsea are to falter Utd need to be up there to capitalise.

Beat Liverpool and all the momentum is with us! Can't wait for this one

Nice one mate, have lifted the details, so looks like i'm going to the game ;)

DISCLAIMER : Am just kidding, i'm a STH, but seriously mate, never post a match ticket with details like that!!

The full serial is on it

I think he was bragging about the Mercedes.

@Xeno I deleted your post just in case someone somehow could use the details on it.

In other news if you get there and they say some tall bastard has already used your ticket it wasn't me I swear.

Too late, I already wrote the serial number. It's right next to me on my desk.

Just to get a plane ticket and I'm good.

Well done mate. I dare say it'd be fairly easy to use those details, either to get in themselves, or cause some drama, so best the cautious approach.

Pogba will do it instead . Imagine that.

Fecking hell, has anyone seen our rivals' fixtures in the next few weeks? I've just taken a look at City's, Chelsea's and Liverpool's upcoming games up until the international break in March, and compare them with ours in the same period, and their form and our form, and the Costa situation at Chelsea...

I genuinely just went from being extremely pessimistic regarding our top 4 chances to really believing we can win the league.

Sunday really is a massive game. A win would do absolute wonders and set us up so well for the coming couple of months.

    Yup.

Oh how Monday will be beutiful if we win.

Tuesday too. Not to mention Wednesday. And Thursday.

Super excited, although I think it will end in a 2-2 draw. Would like to be wrong, but that's how I see it.

Lineup I think is pretty easy to predict at this point with Jose. Only 2 questions for me is Darmian or Blind / Mhiki or Mata.

    DDG
    Valencia Jones Rojo Darmian
    Carrick
    Herrera Pogba
    Mhiki Ibra Martial

    Just feel it.

I hope Iam wrong , not right.

    ;)

Quite nervy about this game as it approaches (rightly tbf). We are in good form but the winning streak may create added pressure and it's not a good thing to have coming into this kind of game.

An early goal for Utd and it could be a romp, otherwise it'd be a cagey affair decided by tight margin.

Complete nonsense. What would you rather we have terrible form coming into this? I feel you're making these comments because the improved form racks our nerves more: 'Will the run continue?' 'Do they feel under pressure?' But if we were on a 4 match losing run you'd think: 'Well, got nothing to lose I suppose, playing crap right now'.

We've got some serious experience and these guys can perform, especially at home.

If there's one thing you want coming into this, it's good form, we have it, for the first time in a long time. We've waited so long to see United perform like this, why do people have to turn it into a negative. I'm nervous yes, but I have faith, these boys can beat them, and they will.

It's not nonsense. Teams on a long winning streak are known to feck it up in the most unexpected fashion. Remember when we went 29 games unbeaten and then lost to a bottom of the table Wolves?

All things considered, of course I'd rather choose our position coming into this game, given the respective form (WWW vs LDL) but form flies out of the window every time we play them and it's not good if our players feel burdened by the pressure/expectation. This group (bar Jose's signings) has crumbled plenty of times last 3 seasons.
