We can recall Pereira at any time if necessary can't we? If true we'd have have to integrate him back into the squad though, and as much as I rate Pereira he's a fair way away from the level of Pogba. It's not that we don't have players to fill in for Pogba, it's that none of them have the qualities that he does.
Not before January. Of course, he's not Pogba's level and maybe wouldn't be played on the big games right away, but… He's the closer to Pogba's qualities and he showed it in friendlies where Mourinho put him in central midfield.

The crowd has been absolutely shameful. Stadium not full for our first CL game, since missing out, and all half I've been hearing the away fans, besides 1-2 occasions. I'm really ashamed of our crowd. If it wasn't enormously expensive for my countries standards I would've been at the stadium and try spark something.

It's a Tuesday night. not everyone can make it because of work (it's 6 hrs in each direction for me - going on Sunday)

    run the show against Everton?

Hope so. I actually don't think we're playing 4-2-3-1 any more. More like a 4-1-4-1 with Fellaini pushing forward to compensate for Pogba's absence. Matic controlling the ball helps to reduce the effect of losing Pogba's creativity while Fellaini is everywhere on the pitch.

Young looks pretty good whipping the ball in, the kind of thing the side has needed more of to start the season.

Don't understand complaining about Mata. He's the brain of our attack and without him we won't be able to move and rotate the ball with the same efficiency.

Lindelof has looked miles better than his debut - so composed on the ball and his passing has been spot on.

Mickey has been the best player on the park, just a shame he hasn't managed to grab a couple of goals that his performance deserves.

Fellaini shutting up the haters with a lovely headed goal.

Need to see more from Martial in the second! Has been a passenger so far, really need him higher up on the left side. Same with Mata, want to see him more involved as well.

Lindelöf been great so far though. Composed on the ball and has played some really nice passes forward. More of the same!

Not before January. Of course, he's not Pogba's level and maybe wouldn't be played on the big games right away, but… He's the closer to Pogba's qualities and he showed it in friendlies where Mourinho put him in central midfield.

I do think it was a mistake to let him go, but I think the player himself wanted to go for regular football. I think he should've been more patient and the opportunities would have arisen for him. If we can't recall him till January then we will have to hope Pogba is fully fit ASAP. There's simply no like-for-like replacement in our squad (and in fact most teams would struggle to find one at his level).

Well even if that were true, Pogba definitely can't have been overplayed only 4 games into the season.
Today would be his 7th game full time in just a little over a month.

Our wings need to do a bit more.Nor full backs nor wingers doing much. Only young has been decent. Shame about Pogba, i hope he is ok, looked like a stretch and not a tear so should be fine after burton. We will really miss him against Everton though.

Can only hope Pogba isn't too bad, but then again, it's happened early in the season. he can get some rest too, I'm not too concerned, others have to step up, and I love Carrick. A United player, and a great attitude.

Martial, Mata, Miki.... I just don't any of these guys are playing close to their best. they lack character. Fellani was given awful treatment by fans. he is no great player.. but he has character, and we all see and love that. Rashford has come in, shows character. Ashley Young has shown character. Pogba, Zlatan... all players with something in them.

Martial, Mata and I include Miki.. they need to realise a bit of talent isn't unique at OT. They need to want to be kings. I don't see that in them and Mourinho will recognise it. We know what kind of mentality he likes.

Martial was shite. He's walking around. He really is pissing me off.

Ha ? I thought the ball isn't even getting to the left flank a lot to be able to evaluate him. We're always passing the ball to the right side and Martial isn't getting the ball much.

We'll know his off ball movements isn't that good. He needs the ball to activate his engine. I made peace with this.

I can't believe Gerrard gets paid money to be a pundit. People are outraged about social injustice, everyday racism and multinational corporations avoiding tax but this has to be the worst thing of all. They could lift a grumpy old man off the street to do the same job.

Loads of ball, fluffed chances, shaky at the back, winning one nil. Just take the win now but performance is ok at best, we do struggle against teams that sit back, nothing much changed from previous years. Exactly the game I expected to be fair bar Pogba injury which is worrying.

I say keep him on. With Pogba gone we need Mata's playmaking/creator ability.

If anything, just take Martial off for Rashford in a bit if things don't change. 1-0 win isn't bad either.
Yup, if Mata is subbed off, we have no creativity in the team.

Don't understand complaining about Mata. He's the brain of our attack and without him we won't be able to move and rotate the ball with the same efficiency.

Yes sir. Mata's movement has been incessant, as always. Whole team has played fairly well. Nothing great. Martial has been appalling tbh.

I think that's more José's instructions. I'd bet Martial would play more up front if it was up to him.

Nah , he fails to make off the ball attacking runs into space to get higher when we are on the ball, when we are off the ball he needs to stay where e
He is but he never moves.

I love Tony for his dedication to the club, but we should not really get that excited over a fullback putting in a decent cross...

    We really need new fullbacks

Totally. Not having a fullback who can put a few good crosses in a game really wastes the height this side has. Valencia is rock solid and will run all the game, but he holds the team back out wide on the attack.

    Next summer, I guess.

Matic has been brilliant- Smalling doing ok. Mhiki just needs a break, great movement, Mata v good too. They have to come out to play now, negative cnts, so we have to score. Generally comfy, but.... Not beyond them to nick something from a set piece
