One dimensional United, our most threatening player has been Ashley Young. That's with Pogba, Lukaku, Rashford & Martial all on the field.
Missing Fellaini, honestly, since that tactic is designed and tailor made for him.

Not many players good out there. Young attacking wise, Lindelof defending wise are two positives so far.

It's strange we looks that slow despite having all our fast players on the field. Rashford on the right is a big failure as I expected, but Martial and Mata have been very, very poor and didn't create anything. We look sluggish and our subs won't improve this. Rashford and Martial need to up their game ASAP.

We need to work harder, Rashford and Martial have to run more and sweat more, most of the lads look sloppy.

Of course that cnut saves it twice on the line. Looks like one of those games from last season if we don't improve in the second. Martial, Mata and Rashford have done feck all and they need to improve asap!

A proper manager like Guardiola would do so much with this Squad.

You can see the players have no attacking training done whatsoever, they just play disciplined and stick to their positions no matter what.

tumescent shit from United and it ain't gonna change under Mourinho.
This is why Mourinho deserves the stick he gets. Mata, Martial, Lukaku, Rashford and Pogba are not 'average' attacking players. They are very, very good, and proven, especially at this kind of level. And yet, we barely look like we know what we're doing.

Mourinho's approach to attacking strategy seems to be: buy some good players, sort out the defence.

Valencia's 5 yard sideways passes when there's a cross on is killing us, and Rashford looks like he doesn't want to be there. Our right side is hopeless.

Shite half against a newly promoted team at OT. Need to stretch the game, but our wing play is freaking horrible. Only one or two decent crosses in the course of 45 mins? What the hell happened to United?

Martial and Rashford have to do better, they're the main attacking force in this setup

Genuinely look like Jose's gone with a Moyes setup, but forgot to instruct them to cross it. Pretty awful first half to be honest.

Excellent game!! We are able to get toe to toe with Brighton.

    Half time verdict
That was a woeful half from United. Their worst 45 minutes at home all season and it would have been an injustice had they gone in ahead. A change or changes are essential. Mata might be in jeopardy and Valencia and Matic should be after the halves they had. United were rigid and devoid of innovation. They need an intuitive influence and if Mkhitaryan does come on he really needs to make an impact for his own sake as much as the team’s.

Reminiscent of parts of last season where it looked like we had no attacking coaching. I really think we need to bring in a dedicated attacking coach.

Frustrating half against a team that park the bus. Neutralise our wide players. Need a piece of magic from Pogba soon.

Rashford has been shit. Not once has he tried to take his man on.

Bring on Herrera for Mata, play a midfield three and press them, they’re finding it far too easy to get out of their half at the moment.

And we laugh from RAWK forums... This thread is a joke :D

This is not knee jerk. Brighton look significantly more threatening, organised and positive when they do venture forward. This is a damning indictment of where we're at

Worst of all is that Brighton aren't even having to work especially hard for it

Boring half. We have no ideas. Our #10 just does not dictate our attacks.
Might as well bring on Fellaini. All we do is cross. Mata is a complete joke these days.

I have no idea what we are set up to do today. Clueless.

You cannot expect Mata to do anything if all he is told to do is to pass wide and hope that the wingers or the full backs put one on Lukaku's head to score. So much talent in the team and no attacking flair at all.

Earlier it was Pogba's injury, now there is no excuse. We need to go on the offensive and yet all we are seeing is crosses.

Back to last year where all keepers turn Invincible against us.

Keeper didn’t turn invincible - Lukaku always manages to hit it straight at the keeper - he’s not clinical at all. Head that ball anywhere the keeper’s left side and it’s a goal but he gave it straight to him.

Mata has been terrible. He doesn’t press, he’s slow, he cannot hold the ball and I am sure even Mkhi’s poorest form is levels ahead of Mata’s performance in the last 2 months.

This match is just painful to watch.

Absolutely. The players are playing like they have never seen the players beside them. They just do not look like they have done any practice in attacking on the training ground.
