We have 4 goalkeepers registered in our 25, Grant is also in there and Luke Shaw is also in there too.

Well we can’t put an injured player on the bench, so I’d argue it makes more sense to put a third keeper than leave it blank. Imagine naming only two keepers and one gets injured in the warm up. If you’re playing away then you can’t exactly fly one out in time.

That team is pretty much what I'd expect for the big games at this point. Personally I'd have Lindelof in over Maguire. Obviously Pogba on the bench is slightly controversial but we couldn't incorporate all our attacking players in a safe manner from the start. Hes unlucky to miss out and it could have just as easily been Fernandes but he'll be a great option off the bench.

Why? because he's been a liability the whole season. Thats why, we could gamble on Lindelof being better, or Bailly finding form without getting injured, or hell even Jones. I dont care, just change something.

Having a player starting which is constantly costing the team the least I expect is the coach to move some thing around to try to fix it. Maybe Ragnick wants to play Maguire into form?

Rangnick trains with them every day. It stands to reason that he'd be in a better position to decide who is best for the team, no?

We've been through this on here a million times now. Maguire, Lindelof, Bailly, Jones, Tunazebe, there is nothing between them ability-wise, certainly nothing that will make an outstanding difference to our fortunes - in my opinion. The manager probably feels the same.

For me, the bigger issue is the midfield area. They played us off the park for 60 minutes because we were afraid of them. We can't make that mistake tonight.

Maguire starts in a crucial game because Ralf (correctly) thinks he's better than Lindelof. Quite simple really.

Dalot starting over £50m AWB, Elanga over £250k a week Rashford and £90m Pogba benched says Ralf doesn't care about any 'status'.

Ralf knows that this game will be very physical and Lindelof lacks in strength, speed and oomph!

This is Antico Madrid, I expect the ref to fall for all their dives and cries of pain and our players looking very puzzled when they get genuinely taken out and nothing is given.

Pogba is a player who can dictate play and our most creative player by far. And we are playing at home.
There is always question which Pogba will show up. Show off or football player. Plus, there is thing we all saw, he breathes through his ears after 60 minutes, so best to get him (hopefully player, not show off) around that time on the pitch, his fresh legs agains tiring Atletico legs. Fingers crossed.

We beat this, have luck in 1/4 finals and get Ajax or Benfica and we are in semis. In semis we get Chelsea or Juve (who in meanwhile beat Liverpool) against which we can play equal game. And we are in finals.
In final there will be Bayern or City. That is a oroblem but it is one game. Who knows what can happen....
