Bruno, Mctominay and Maguire just casually walking back into the team after dropping multiple stinkers

Maguire's been dropped a couple of times in the last month or so and it had no effect on the team whatsoever. Bruno can captain the side fine in his absence.
He was dropped against "lower" opposition, he hasnt been permanently dropped.

That's Fred. McTominay has been consistently our worst midfielder all season
But he dives in tackles and that shows how he plays "for the badge".
I would rather see Pogba and try to control the game instead giving possession to Atletico (which we are doing with this lineup).

And when they do so again we'd blame the manager. Although he does deserve some blame because he picked them but does he have any alternatives ?

There's pogba and rashford who have regular stinkers

    Mctominay is championship level now?

That's not even close to the truth.

    Urgh.

You see what you want. Fred has won us games, has got key assists like last weeks first goal for Ronaldo. McTominay can only dream of a pass like that. Fred has 4 goals and 4 assists for united this season. Among the most productive central midfielders in the league. McTominay doesn't excel at anything but hiding and shite passing. Championship level

This. McTominay is the most overrated player at this club. Rubbish player. But hey, united DNA

Who hasn't had stinkers in this side this season ?
    Its almost like we're underdogs.

He was dropped against "lower" opposition, he hasnt been permanently dropped.

Why would he be permanently dropped?

Football is a squad game, and since we have multiple central defenders of similarly low quality, why not make use of them?

Maguire starts in a crucial game because Ralf (correctly) thinks he's better than Lindelof. Quite simple really.

Dalot starting over £50m AWB, Elanga over £250k a week Rashford and £90m Pogba benched says Ralf doesn't care about any 'status'.

The midfield is the right call given the opposition. This is a sad reflection of our recruitment in recent seasons.

Please don’t let this be the last time we hear the champions league anthem for a while :nervous:

Bruno + McFred midfield. Real blast from the past! :nervous: Hope Scott doesn't get himself sent off. Varane alone against Joao Felix and Griezmann.

Suddenly not feeling confident at all about this.

Mental to see Rio, Scholes and Hargreaves sat in the studio - all long retired, talking about the recent hat trick scored by a man they won this competition with 14 years ago

Glad to see Telles and Dalot starting, as they should when they don't need rest.

That was my thinking as well, those guys should be embarrassed with themselves..

    Not now. Always has been

Why don't you try backing the team for a change instead of running it into the ground every chance you get?

Go on, give it a try. Make the matchday thread fun like it used to be. Some of the older posters may even make a return ;)

If we lose they'll be bitching left right and center. Scholes will throw rangnick under the bus.

Sick of the sight of Maguires name on the starting line up announcement, made even worse seeing (c) next to it

I posted before the away leg that I expected United to win over there and have a tougher time at home.
With the first leg being drawn I'm afraid that I think they'll do you in a messy game with plenty if stoppages and yellow cards.

I have no doubt in win today. Despite McT. The rest of the team is very good. Better?
I have problem with McT. Leave me that satisfaction 8n this gloomy season:)

yes, harry has been instrumental to our huge success this season. Much better than Lindelof. He should always be the first name on the team sheet.

Yeah that worked really well in the first leg with pogba in midfield.

Why? because he's been a liability the whole season. Thats why, we could gamble on Lindelof being better, or Bailly finding form without getting injured, or hell even Jones. I dont care, just change something.

Having a player starting which is constantly costing the team the least I expect is the coach to move some thing around to try to fix it. Maybe Ragnick wants to play Maguire into form?

Your satisfaction comes from not liking Mctominay?

Can see them targeting Fernandes into an early booking who absolutely loves a moan
