No, they wouldnt. People have decided what they want to see. Rashford was getting criticism for his effort against Liverpool, but they needed to backtrack as the stats (released by Sky) showed he ranked number 1 in terms of sprints. People have made their minds up - it shows what people see cannot be trusted.

These sprint/distance stats aren't readily available to counter the narrative, though. So, the myth continues

In the end, only a quarter of the pitch is shown at any one time with the camera, so people watching TV do not know what is actually going on outside of that. You get a limited scope of vision.
