It seems like getting a striker is more important than getting an expensive utility player.
Agreed. We show some urgency at least but we're still a bit lost at unlocking tight defensesDecent half performance wise, still looked more or less out of ideas when Everton went in their shell, luckly Bruno scored a decent goal with mistake of Pickford, that might be harsh not sure.
We’d not get good money for him now with his wagesI'd sell Dave and have Henderson/Romero compete. The guy hasn't been the same since the 2018 world cup. His shit form cost us top 4 last season and he doesn't look interested this season
Everton fans are among the most whiny, self-pitying fans in the league. There's nothing more irritating in football than fans booing a ref as if they've been hard done by when they've been getting favourable decisions all game
This with no punishmentEverton can’t get near us so resorting to breaking up play.
not really sure why we have two bookings. Ref is letting the crowd make the decisions
What was it 6 out of 8 clean sheets or something. Our defence is a joke. We look suspect every single game.
We played bloody well that half. DDG owes Bruno a pint or two.
We’d not get good money for him now with his wages
Tbf, Maguire and especially Shaw should have cleared that ball.He didn’t score because of shaw. What you on about.
It was a very good strike, but he definitely has to do betterI think the people blaming Pickford for the goal don't realise how powerful and swervy the shot was.
This. Diabolically incompetent.Quite amazing that we've got the same amount of cards as them.
If Shaw's booked for being close to the handbags, then so should Davies have been. As the ref judged the situation, he gave one player a yellow for a dirty tackle and the other a yellow for being on the end of it. That means that Davies should've been off for his second tackle. Maguire's yellow was a fecking joke too seeing as a grab wasn't even a foul a minute later when Baines grabbed Bruno.
Tbf they haven't been any good today, was a freak goal, and aside from that chance at the end, they haven't been much of a threat, except for injuring our players. They play Chelsea next.
I can categorically guarantee you that they won't put up half the fight they have done today. They have some kind of hard-on for us, whilst being completely impotent against the rest of the top six.
We’ll need to invent a new word for Martial then.
Yeah, we've been bar far the better team overall. We look good in the diamond too, better than I expected anyway.
Fred has been brilliant yet again. Is there a more consistent performer in the PL right now?
That red tinted crap annoys the hell out of me. We’ve been the better team but they’ve had chances.Without red tinted specs on its a 50/50 game with us having greater use of the ball in general but I'd say they've had the clearer chances although only a couple.
Lindelof having a fine game so far, good because AWB is very poor today.
We have largely been a second half team this season. Not really confident for the second half, our second half performances are usually pretty poor in comparison to first.
"Sit back and wait"What Ole tells them at halftime will be crucial
They're fighting hard and kicking us all over the pitch. You never see this commitment from them against Liverpool, they just roll over and die. They’ve been largely 2nd best to us in that half, we look much better all over the pitch.
The game went a bit downhill, ref did the right thing by handing out a lot of yellow cards though and the tension fixed out again.
playing against a 442 like everton’s, our diamond formation works great. You can bet that Davies and Gomes are in the dressing room right now demanding another body in the middle because they can’t cope. If they don’t switch to 433/451 we will continue to dominate and just need to put our chances away.
