The only new player in Arsenal's team today from last year is Zinchenko and they still somehow managed to make the jump from 5th to this level we see them now. We are better than Arsenal were last season, so far at least. Not everything is solved by new personnel. Sometimes, spending a year together and going through these experiences is all the improvement you need.
They have the youngest squad in the league, there was more room for internal development than there is in our team. A team with Wout Weghorst up front he's just one example) is never going to compete, more time with the team will lead to improvements but also our squad isn't good enough right now.

I wish we could replay that game with Casemiro.
Hope we get them in the cup

Hopefully in the summer that will be put right.

People moaning about AWB & Mctominay and then complaining we didn’t make more changes. Our squad depth is crap! It’s why we can’t see games out and will probably cost us when Europa comes back.
Yeah especially as we’ve got Barca in the next round. This will take deep pockets and another season to fix.

Premier league have to have a look at themselves, making us play midweek before this game and just after the Manchester derby, we were set up to lose.

It helps me sleep at night.

    Weghorst is absolutely shite.

Weird take. I thought he did well laying off some balls for the midfield.

Anyway, it's clear as day now that the squad isn't good enough for any kind of title challenge. The drop off between the first eleven and the subs is too massive.

It's just ETH's first season. Trust the process.

No need, I will leave you with your magical 23 chances.

Yeah you're just making stuff up now. I listed all of the reasons we were dominated second half. You've given one stat and load of green smilies.

You're argument is laughable. We lost away to the better team who are further along in their development than us while we were missing our best midfielder and our only decent RB and had less rest than them due to the games which had been postponed. No real shame in that but you do you.

    How was it offside?

Well it wasn't was it, looking at the foot it's off , but VAR says different. Since the controversial city goal had a stone wall pen not given , and a maybe or maybe not offside they looked at it long enough. It's at the Emirates and a close call so they give it. Never mind evens it out over a season yeah really.

If this was a foul decision, yeah it comes down to interpretation but not with offside. It's black and white, and if it's not given then it's inside - unless you get a tech feck up like Liverpool-Wolves.

It's tight but they looked at it for a micro second, you can't be that sure he's on while barely looking at it

Did they though? It was on screen for a very short amount of time, granted. Do they really show us everything they're looking at? I'm not sure. Hopefully it's shown here or on MOTD.

Ooof 2.93 to 0.3 to Arse on the xG!

I don’t understand why we didn’t switch up bringing Garnacho on earlier? The game was screaming for it.
It wasn't really. We had Rashford standing by himself every time we launched a long ball out from our box, but we still couldn't get it near him. Bringing on another player to just stand there and not receive the ball would've made feck all difference.

Like I've said before, Bruno on the wing instead of Antony takes one out-ball out of the game. He might be poor in an attacking sense, but he can receive the ball and let the team breathe without losing it or booting it to their defenders like the rest of our team was doing for the last 25 minutes of the game.

Despite a thin bench and playing mid-week and not havinfg their best CM while Arsenal had it off They have a match to make up but why were off? I'm not sure.

United but up a good fight. I'd only question why Garnacho wasn't brought on earlier in the match.

Gave it a good go but lack of quality in a few key positions cost us, maybe unsurprisingly looking at the two teamsheets.

I just wonder why Arsenal didn't have a mid week make up match.
