The number of times De Gea could have given the team some rest just by owning that 6 yards box. Yes, he’s making his usual spectacular saves, but the accumulation of stress he gives his defenders by being passive, eventually it fatigues them.

My only crumb of comfort is I hate City more than Arsenal. Our manager shat the bed though and invited pressure onto a clearly tired team, our squad players are simply not good enough so not to bring on fresh legs on top of that is criminal. Top four is miracle stuff for this squad so let’s make sure we bounce back.

Really poor performance. Weak, bullied by a young team, and looked scared for most of it. Rounds off a very poor week with 5 points dropped including 3 lost after 88 minutes.

Happy with our performance all in all. We tested Arsenal and a few defensive cock ups handed them the win. But we do have to improve the squad as well as look at some individuals who ruined our chances today.

Martin Tyler is almost crying he's so emotional. The better side won and that's fair enough, they're fighting for a title while we're fighting for 4th. We gave them a good game without our best player and nearly got a point. The performance was decent for the most part, it showed that our squad is still a long way off being good enough to compete at the very top but we're OK.

If one of Rashford, Casemiro or martial(albeit he's not fantastic) we literally have nothing in reserve to replace them.

Then when things aren't going right we've nothing on the bench to change things

More tackles than anyone else on the pitch outside of AWB and more clearances than anyone on the pitch.

Weird. Again opting to hold rather than go for the win. Garnacho’s energy and pace were needed a lot earlier. No one had any legs by about 70th minute. We had a gaping Casemiro-shaped hole in the team, and Eriksen can’t play 90 minutes with McT next to him.

Annoyed. We could have won this. So many unforced turnovers, errant low percentage passes, general sloppiness.
