I hope Fred comes on at half time. Recently we’ve really ceded any semblance of control very early in the second half. We should get right in their face.

Considering how far ahead of us they are in their development - we’re not a million miles away. For as much as De Gea has been brilliant for us, we need a keeper who is better with their feet.
Another midfielder needed as McTominay has been anonymous.

Decent showings so far from Weghorst and Antony.
McTominay anonymous huh! - so it was someone else that Ramsdale made a flying save from?

I'm so disappointed with the goal we conceded as it was such an avoidable one. But then when I consider the facts-our 3 missing starters vs their 1, 3 days rest vs 7 and 6 months into a managerial tenure vs 3 years, we've given a good account for ourselves. I would've loved to see a full strength battle between the teams to gauge exactly how far we've come. Subs and the timing of them will be key here as I expect our typical second half fade away as Erisken tires and Arsenal become more desperate.

Also, Arteta is a clown. He spent the majority of the half outside the technical area. At least he was booked.
When do refs start clamping down on this? Getting ridiculous - the area is there for a reason.

some people genuinely think we should beat everybody 4-0 with entire domination no matter who or where we play  it’s so crazy
We've completely over-performed under ETH, yet some just can't be fecking happy.
Pretty much this, who cam on thinking we would dominate Arsenal at their place needs their head checked. Are we playing fantastic, no of course not but we are up against the league leader here. If you offer me a 1-1 at the end of the game I'll take it, no hesitation.
That and the fact they had a full week of rest /preparation.

eriksen often has a good first half and then fades. that first 45 passed him by so let's hope he fires in second half. if not, need to make a change. not that we have lots of options...

AWB makes it so that teams can't easily break us down but the moment they go shit on a stick route one football their chances to score skyrockets.

They showed a stat late in the half: touches in oppo box, 19-2 Arsenal. That's our main trouble right there: Too passive and backing in when Arsenal has the ball around our box. That'll come back to bite us again unless we do something about it.

I'm bricking it here. I don't want us to lose to thiat mob, and definitely not to a team managed by that cnut Arteta.

Definitely. 2nd best thing in the first half was Arteta getting booked. Man is a nutter.

    All about Woug's movement

He made a good run for the goal. Been good, not great. About what to expect from him.

Antony is our Brazilian Park Ji Sung

Honestly been Antony's best game for us so far

He’s been very good. There’s a player in there and he’s improving.

They're not top of the league by luck. They have very good players

They’ve been great to be fair.

If I ever hear any of you defending MCT, even as a squad player, I'm coming to your house.

What a fecking game of hiding he's having.

Bit extreme, but yes he’s been poor.

I thought we were excellent playing out of their press. They have the best pressing structure.

Extremely impressive levels of football by both teams.

The hugely encouraging thing for us should be this is how we are playing with at least 4 areas of obvious improvement in the 11 today: GK, RB, CM and striker.

Yeah shame we are down Dalot,Martial & Casa because would have given us a proper idea

Watching Arsenal's goal Wan Bissaka is totally lost what the absolute feck. Brain dead he doesn't even realize Nketia is moving in front of him. Instead of attacking the ball he goes backwards I have absolutely no idea why a defender would do that.
He’s always been shit at the back post

Victims of our own success. When you’re in the moment it’s pretty difficult to remember that this is only 6 months into a brand new system

True! He's over-performed and people are suddenly expecting a title push, it's ludicrous. As you said, he's here a matter of months and our squad still clearly needs upgrading in several areas.

We’ve done well in circumstances, midfield as expected has been real issue. This game highlights how desperately we need to strengthen there.
